They are a bit very clunky looking, almost Lego like!

Cadburyssurpriseegg · 10/12/2018 19:21

🤮I don’t get the obsession with Hush. Confused

FissionChips · 10/12/2018 19:22

Had some cheap ones from a market stall that looked just like those when I was 9.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 19:22

They are Ash trainers on the hush website.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 19:23

They are not made by hush. They look hideous.

UpToonGirl · 10/12/2018 19:26

It's a new fashion 'ugly trainers' I've seen a few bloggers wearing similar...I don't get it!

Ignoring the style of the trainers, the price is ridiculous. I get the hush catalogue and they do have nice things but I find their footwear very expensive! The clothes are overpriced but not quite as much as their boots/trainers.

KittyMcKitty · 10/12/2018 19:26

They’re Ash trainers - essentially Balenciaga rip offs!

ForSaleChesterDraws · 10/12/2018 19:28

Are Ash the ones that did the big wedge trainers about 5 years ago? S&B weed their pants over them as well.

Stuckforthefourthtime · 10/12/2018 19:30

Ugly, and not in as stylish a way as the Balenciaga originals. It's not really about being down with the kids, I always see the Hush customer as 40ish anyway, just wanting to stay a bit on trend. Some of their stuff is nice, but I also don't get the love on here.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 19:31

I have a few pairs of their boots. They are pricey but they are beautifully made.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 19:33

Like any other online retailer, some things are gems, others are rubbish.

KittyMcKitty · 10/12/2018 19:39

ForSaleChesterDraws yes Ash did the wedge trainers. I have a pair of Ash virgin (I think) high tops (flat) and they’re super comfy.

I quite like some of the fugly trainers around at the moment. The Balenciagas are cool but beyond my budget! I have some of the Adidas Falcons which I like with a dress

The Emperor's New Trainers.

Thishatisnotmine · 10/12/2018 19:46

How much!?

YouWereRight · 10/12/2018 19:48

Hush is to 40 somethings today what m&s was to my dm's generation at that age.

Decent quality, but nothing groundbreaking.

Summerisdone · 10/12/2018 20:49

The price is ridiculous and tbh they're completely selling the wrong products considering their market... I couldn't imagine most 35+ would wear this style trainer, but I also don't know of many people under that age who would shop at Hush Hmm

That being said, despite the price tag, I don't hate the trainers... I've actually just treated myself to a second colour of the Fila Disruptor trainers and I know they're 'ugly' but that's what makes them so cute Grin

verite · 10/12/2018 21:58

I would hardly call hush wearers as being down with the kids!

AuntieStella · 10/12/2018 22:05

Gosh, I'm inadvertently trendy!

I wear trainers rather like that, they're made by Hoka One One and are the most cushioned running shoe I've come across. They were the talk of the running community as the Next Big Thing a year or two ago, but that rather fell by the wayside.

But I love the cushioning. I've run personal bests at 5k, 10k and Half Marathon.

I don't wear them other than when running (or occasionally when going to/from and event where I don't want to use the bag drop).

They are a serious running trainer - but half the price of these 'fashion' ones. Various

Womantheonlykind · 10/12/2018 23:13

MBTs are back and I reckon if you are putting something that size on your foot may as well sort your posture at the same time for that price.

Shit me they ming.

SpamChaudFroid · 11/12/2018 12:37

I think Ash trainers are overrated, and those ones are hideous!

I do like (love even?) Hush for their sweatpants, Harems and stretchy tube skirts though. As a lover of elasticated waistbands in their late 40s, I guess I'm their target market. Grin

halfwitpicker · 11/12/2018 12:49

They look like they are from Tommy Balls.

TheLuckyMrsPine · 11/12/2018 13:00

Oh no I like the chunky “dad” trainer and have a pair of Adidas falcons.... I am also over 35. Blush

I would never pay that for a shoe though.

dontgobaconmyheart · 11/12/2018 13:07

I don't think Hush could ever be considered 'down with the kids" in any lifetime tbh. The 'ugly trainer' trend is definitely having it's moment though. I wouldn't wear them and know I couldn't pull them off but I don't hate them on other (younger cooler) people. Hush are probably trying to tap into the market of people wanting to be younger and cooler and chancing their arm, don't blame them really, they're there to make money after all. £225 though...wow.

florriepeck · 11/12/2018 14:29

I always want to put a brush through the Hush models' hair.
