Although i 'think' i have oily skin, its feeling very dry and tight at the moment.
Best ideas for hydration. Thanks

Have you tried Eucerin? The replenishing face creams are great - the night one is like a moisture depth charge (but has never caused me to break out). They're also hypoallergenic, so don't cause irritation. Boots stock their products, and they're fairly reasonably priced (not super cheap but not OTT)

A little organic rosehip oil on under your moisturiser is really nice. You can use a little more at night and your skin feels lovely in the morning!

Drop soap / any harsh cleansers and switch to something gentle. Use a cream with hyraluronic (spelling?!) acid and use a very thin layer of something heavier on top such as aveeno.

Have you tried a hyaluronic acid product? The ordinary one is only a few quid, though I prefer the hylamide one. Make sure to apply on damp skin or later with a thermal water spray, La Roche Posay Serozinc is really good for helping to reduce oiliness.

I’ve always found rosehip oil very drying, strangely, I’d use another oil if I were you and see if things improve.

A lot of oils make me dry bizarrely, including rosehip and coconut. Marula is okay though for some reason but only if applied on top of moisturiser at the end of my routine to seal in everything.

Theothersideof40 · 10/12/2018 12:34

Thanks. I may stop the Rosehip for now then
