Can anyone find me a LBD like this one in a 14?

It's such a basic dress that you'd think this would be an easy task but I'm really struggling.

Needs to be.....

v/plunge neck
with sleeves
pencil/wiggle style
black
midi length
UK size 14
preferably sturdy/structured material rather than pull on over the head iyswim
as glamorous/Mad Men in style as possible.

Not bothered about the side flappy bit detail.

No embellishments

No satin

Anyone fancy a dress hunt? Mulled wine and mince pies as payment [santa]

Need a budget

ChateauneufduTwat · 04/12/2018 20:25

Preferably under £50 but will crack out the credit card for the perfect one.

Thanks fringe

Place marking in case someone finds one 🍷

Moana123 · 04/12/2018 20:29

Have a look at The Pretty Dress Company - they have a few like this - will stretch your £50 budget though

TheWoollybacksWife · 04/12/2018 20:31

£129 from the Pretty dress company.

FeedMeWell · 04/12/2018 20:36

Have a look at Diva Catwalk and Katya Wildman bombshell too.

ChateauneufduTwat · 04/12/2018 20:40

Have looked at The Pretty Dress Company.

There are two that are similar but neither are quite right and while I don't mind paying more for a really nice dress, they're 93% polyester which is off-putting. They definitely don't look worth £130 imo.

Have a look at this one. www.pinupgirlclothing.com/laura-byrnes-monica-dress-black.html

Bigpizzalover · 04/12/2018 20:50

Don’t know if my post will show twice, had an error before.

Next, £38. I have this I love it. Not quite as short as it looks on the picture.

I'd say Hippys is perfect!

What's bengaline? I have no idea

ChateauneufduTwat · 04/12/2018 20:57

Thanks all. Hippy is definitely closest (especially with the price!) but I don't like the way it drapes at the stomach. I'm after something smoother.

The Next dress is nice but it's too short and too casual. I don't want soft/slinky material or anything that you pull over your head to get on.

Kung that's nice too but I'm not a fan of the all over ruching.

Did I mention I may be a wee bit fussy?!

I'm always recommending these on here as I own nine This will make you feel like a million dollars:

www.bombshellhq.com/collections/moss-crepe-dresses/products/new-confident-3-4-sleeve-black-moss-crepe-bombshell-dress-1

But I'd order a size down as they come out a big larger than standard high street sizes. Even better! Grin

HollyBollyBooBoo · 04/12/2018 21:05

They are stunning @namechangedbutneedadvice!

HippyChickMama · 04/12/2018 21:13

Does it absolutely have to be black? Because on the website that I posted the link for they do a similar style one that is less 'drapey' in a very dark green

Bacardi101 · 04/12/2018 21:15

I bought something nearly identical from pretty little thing I think it was £20 and they go up to a size 16. Washes well too!

madmum5811 · 04/12/2018 21:19

Roman clothing was wall to wall party wear when I visited today.

Bombshell??

Anything tailored in that price brackets going to be crepe/polyester I reckon
