Any tall, leggy ladies out there who can help me with Jean shopping?!

I used to buy my jeans from Tall Girls, but they are no longer. I bought a load of jeans from Long Tall Sally last week and have sent them all back. They did not suit me!

I'm after some slim/tight jeans, 36 inch leg and high waisted.

I now have 1 pair of jeans that fit....but they've got a massive hole in the crotch! I'm desperate.! Can anyone recommend somewhere online for me to find some perfect new jeans? Pleeeease?!

Thank you!

Dorothy Perkins tall range, their jeans are fab.

sanitygirl · 04/12/2018 17:13

I really like the Levis Mile High skinny jeans - I am 5'9 and the 32 inch leg is long enough for me and comes down past my ankles - so might be worth trying the 34 inch length. They are nice and skinny on the leg and suck everything in at the tummy www.levi.com/GB/en_GB/clothing/women/jeans/mile-high-super-skinny-jeans/p/227910056

Tailfeather · 04/12/2018 17:20

Thanks. I'm 6 foot and carrying loads of post-baby weight around my belly, so the Levi's will be too weeny unfortunately! Maybe when I shift some of my baby blubber!

New look tall have always been good for me. Topshop go baggy around the knees.

Dorothy Perkins tall are great

Also had a few pairs from ASOS but don't recall the brands, it's worth a look at their tall range though!

Levi's great too, though I know you said not at the moment.

SylvanianFrenemies · 04/12/2018 17:25

ASOS have tons of 36" jeans, jeggings etc in their tall section. I DD them pretty good quality. The jeggings are good for holding it all in post baby!

SylvanianFrenemies · 04/12/2018 17:27

*find

I must be doing to much mumsnetting if I autocorrect to DD!

ParisNext · 04/12/2018 17:31

I am exactly your height and size by the sounds of it! My jeans are all high waisted and from Next (order online for the 36) and my best ones are amazingly from New Look which I recently do a 36 leg if you order online or ask them in store having tried on the others lengths. I used to pay a fortune for jeans and now get a few pairs of vey high waist jeggings and straight leg from them instead. I also like Sainsbury’s as their long leg jeggings are great and very flattering although a bit ankle skim on me-great for boots though.

Lumene · 04/12/2018 17:40

Are any of these in proportion for length from crotch to waistband? I gave up on anything but LTS years back because of this, but maybe things have changed? Other than the extra 2-3 stones I put on

Cherries101 · 04/12/2018 17:44

Topshop jamie jeans

Shantotto · 04/12/2018 17:55

@lumene If you buy from a dedicated tall range rather than say Levi’s with just a longer inside leg then they should be all in proportion!
I’ve been getting my jeans from Next and ASOS tall ranges.

Passthecake30 · 04/12/2018 21:04

Long tall Sally high waisted super skinnies are my current go-to.
There's always a discount code to be had.

MsMightyTitanAndHerTroubadours · 04/12/2018 21:09

tesco contour, high waist skinnies....go to a bigger store they should have regular and long, and do check several pairs, some are longer than others, which is infuriating but I bought the longest long ones and can turn them up!

VanillaLatteAndCake · 04/12/2018 21:13

ASOS and New Look seem to fit. DP occasionally. But quality of all can vary greatly. I find the longest Next jeans still too short and LTS is very expensive!

coffeeagogo · 04/12/2018 21:13

Dorothy Perkins always for me - cheap and cheerful and surprisingly durable - I have my fav pair on - blue skinnies with a nice high waist to keep my mum tum tucked away!

Tailfeather · 04/12/2018 21:16

Brilliant! Thanks all! Willing to try out all to find my new 'go to'!!

Good thread. I'm a 'short arse' at 5'11 and I've really struggled to find jeans long enough for 34". The only reliable ones I've found are Levi's.

Thank goodness 7/8 are still in fashion Grin

slinkysaluki · 05/12/2018 08:27

Im 6ft i find Dorothy Perkins tall range good

prunemerealgood · 05/12/2018 08:33

Fat Face jeans in the longer length are surprisingly good and they do some which, thank the gods, are not skinnies.

Ozziewozzie · 05/12/2018 08:38

I too have 36 inch leg and am slim. Always get my jeans from top shop. Really long lasting and good quality in a whole range of styles. If you go in store they can order them for you as they only sell online. They actually have a tall dept online. I found Long tall sally was a bit grumpy and also they assume you’re built like a tank if you are tall.
I like the Jamie style jeans from top shop

iwonderwhen · 05/12/2018 12:33

I'm 34" leg length and get mine from lands end. They're dear though £60 - I look out for their sales and get them then. I'm trying Marks and Spencer's per una jeans out as they're only £25 and so far, seem long enough

Printerneedsink · 05/12/2018 12:45

M and S ?

SoupDragon · 05/12/2018 12:49

I get jeans from Esprit.co.uk They come in several leg lengths, loads of styles and have free returns.

Gigglebert · 05/12/2018 12:56

GAP true skinny curvy jeans come in tall on their (nightmare to navigate) website! And online you can get odd numbered waists which they don't tend to stock in store! Would definitely recommend them!

LondonSouth28 · 05/12/2018 13:04

American Eagle and Abercrombie & Fitch so good long jeans - I'm 178cm and they are great. For trousers Joseph are super long

mysteryfairy · 07/12/2018 03:16

Topshop are my go to, especially Jamies. They have a good tall range with 36 inch inside leg, but need to order online. I don't think you've specified what waist size you are but they have a good selection in 16 (34) and about half as many in 18 (36).
