Should I have my fringe cut back in? Fine hair. With pic

I’ve got baby fine straight hair and have had a bob for as long as I can remember, it’s about 3 or 4 inches below my ear. I’ve always had a fringe and I know it suits me but about 18 months ago I decided, sod it, and grew it out. I know it doesn’t look as nice but it’s so much easier to keep looking tidy. I don’t have to worry about the rain etc. But, I’m having my regular cut and colour tomorrow and I’m so tempted to have it cut back in. Husband says he thinks I look younger with a fringe (I’m 42) so......anyway sorry so long, if you had crappy fine hair would you have a fringe cut in? Thanks in advance!

I think your hair looks nice as it is

princessbear80 · 04/12/2018 14:55

Looks nice as it is. Can we see a pic with fringe to compare?

itsbritneybiatches · 04/12/2018 14:57

You can buy clip in fringes from eBay to see if you want it cut back in or not.

Hazardswan · 04/12/2018 15:02

Long curtain fringe? If it gets messy can easily sweep it to the side.

But agree with pp need to see you with a fringe to compare because you already look nice!

Jaynie27 · 04/12/2018 16:21

Not got any online of a full fringe but this is it growing out. Trouble is, my hair is so wispy and fine it’s not heavy enough to carry off a side fringe. Oh what I wouldn’t give to have normal hair!

Ohhhh I love the fringe!

ginnylocks · 04/12/2018 16:29

i think you should see the doc about the build shield on your face 😂

ginnylocks · 04/12/2018 16:29

blue

Jaynie27 · 04/12/2018 16:31

Might give a better idea, but I’d want it shorter if only to make it look a bit thicker

I like the first fringe picture, now I’ve seen it I think you should cut it back.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 04/12/2018 16:37

You do look younger with a fridge! I like the 2nd pic where it's to the side, would that be an option? You look great on all 3 tho

AckYourHole · 04/12/2018 16:43

I love the fringe and it really does make you look younger! I've the same type of hair Op I feel your pain

CakeBiscuit · 04/12/2018 16:47

Are you me OP? 😂
I have exactly the same type of hair as you, and the same style!

I’ve always had a fringe too but a few years ago (like you) thought sod it! and grew it out. I kept it for a while (couple of years) but cut it back about a year ago. I’ve realised I definitely look better with a fringe. Weirdly, my dh says I look younger with it too (Ive just turned 40).

You look nice without but even better with. I think you should cut it back 😃

Oh, and you have my sympathies; having really fine hair can be a real pain!

Jaynie27 · 04/12/2018 16:49

Thanks all, think I’ll go for it. I can always grow it again if it gets too much of a faff! And yes, fine hair is the bane of my life. It’s not just fine either, there’s just hardly any weight or substance to it. Never mind, at least I’ve got hair. Thanks again 💇🏻‍♀️🙂

Mane and tail shampoo is your friend. My hair is the same this shampoo is amazing!! Totally thickens your hair and helps growth. I use it every other day and also take biotin supplements daily. My hair is slowly thickening, my eyelashes and eyebrows are also thickening and my nails grow super quick . Just google mane and tail reviews and have a look.

Jaynie27 · 04/12/2018 17:41

Conseula, really? That’s great thank you so much for the recommendation. I’ve lost count of the amount of thickening shampoos I’ve tried with little success.

Yes really really. I've tried a few thickening ones to no avail but this stuff is amazing. Its actually horse shampoo Grin but i promise people use it too. Has instructions for horses and people on the back 🤣
Definitely worth a look into biotin supplements too. Less than a tenner for a years supply. Been taking them 2 months and have lots of new hair growth and thickening. Loads of new baby hairs coming through.

Jaynie27 · 04/12/2018 18:22

Ooo that sounds fantastic! Thanks for that, I’ll def try both as it’s got to the stage where I’m almost considering shaving it off and wearing a lovely thick long wig!
