Lemming??

Ohyesiam · 04/12/2018 15:19

Is that a brand, and do you have a link?

Ladominate14 · 04/12/2018 15:49

Sorry, lemming meant I'm wanting. I think it's a US expression.

I'm looking for some as well and only ones I've seen which I like (Birkenstock) are sold out in my size. I'm contemplating Brown DMs but would prefer something a bit more biker bootish?

NotAColdWomanHenry · 04/12/2018 19:16

I have these and love them. Is this the kind of height you want or more actually on the ankle?

GimbleInTheWabe · 04/12/2018 19:22

I started my own very similar thread a while back about this!!
So many lovely lace up boots spoilt in my opinion by a zip up the side (why?!? There's laces!!!)

Anyway I recently purchased some timberland London boots www.office.co.uk/view/product/office_catalog/2,10/2741100000?rec1=1
(Sorry don't know how to do hyperlinks on my phone) and I loooove them! I wear them either with my jeans or with skirts/dresses and low denier tights. I'm a large size 5 sometime 5.5 UK shoe size and I bought these in a 6 which is perfect. I have a suede skirt which they look great with.

If I had the money I would have bought these: www.grenson.com/uk/nanette-womens-black-hiker-boots-commando-sole.html

The point of the zip is you adjust the laces to the right tightness, then use the zip which is much quicker and easier and you don't have to do up the laces every time.

GimbleInTheWabe · 04/12/2018 19:53

I get that a zip is slightly more time efficient @NotAColdWomanHenry but it looks so ugly on the side of shoes with laces on and cheapens the look in my opinion.

NotAColdWomanHenry · 04/12/2018 20:31

I suppose it does it you want a very clean and minimal look - but it can also add the "biker" vibe.

@GimbleInTheWabe, love those timberland boots! Are they comfy?

Yes really comfy @Ladominate14! Haven't rubbed at all either. I'm usually a 5 or 5.5 UK Size but bought a 6 which is a good fit for wearing thicker socks underneath. They're really grippy and lighter than they look. I definitely recommend them.
