pointydog · 23/06/2007 00:12

while i appreciate your humour, skribble, you are not helpiong with the sandal alternative question.

Ha!!

really..."sandals" and "men" shouldn't really be in the same sentence, apart from "Men should never wear sandals".

Yeah I dohn't really get this need to keep men's feet wrapped in sweaty trainers all summer. I think the birkie ones in skribble's 4th link are fine and DH has a pair like that.

pointydog · 23/06/2007 12:44

what is the alternative to sandals, though? When on hols

OP posts:
Tutter · 23/06/2007 12:52

dh has these

they're great

and on sale

pointydog · 23/06/2007 12:53

They do look nice tutter.

I advised against open-backed sandals and then some of his workmates told him they're the fashionable ones

OP posts:
Blondilocks · 23/06/2007 13:04

I think they're fine pointydog - so long as he doesn't wear them with socks!!!

I don't mind sandals on men, but do think it's a bit strange when they are wearing sandals & jeans but generally even that doesn't look that bad.

pointydog · 23/06/2007 13:05

not even knee length socks?

OP posts:
Pan · 23/06/2007 18:31

Men in sandals?? - to purgatory.

Men in socks in sandals?? - straight to hell.

pointydog · 23/06/2007 19:01

I'm not getting a good alternative here.

It'll have to be the sandals
