Posh lunch, followed by a night out raving! What to wear?

Hi,
Looking for some ideas on what to wear for a day and night out I have soon. I'm meeting some friends for a shopping and lunch/cocktails session in London first, then going across London to meet other friends for a big 90s dance night. So I have no idea what to wear thats appropriate for both!
I have a lovely studio by preen midi dress which would be good for lunch, but bit too posh/dull for dancing. I often wear coated jeans with a sparkly top/biker or fake fur and high heels - this would be relatively practical, and could poss swap heels for trainers for dancing, but not sure if its a bit dull.
I also have a lovely bronzy midi skirt, which I could wear with a fitted black top, but again that feels a bit old for the dancing bit.
Can anyone help?

Lunch and cocktails in jeans, sparkly top and a blazer style jacket. Smart flats that will do for both.
Evening take off the jacket

Sounds lovely, but sadly I have no smart flats at all. Well only summer sandals which will be sadly inadequate in the rain thats bound to fall. Makes me realise I need some, but I have very odd shaped feet - wide at the front and very narrow heels so they generally fall off!

Do you have any trainers smart enough for the daytime too?

Can wear a stylish scarf in the day and stick in bag at night? That would smarten it up a bit

A bronze midi sounds eminently danceable to me!

I have some white trainers with stars on (Ash copies basically) but they'd look awful with tights. Otherwise I have black nikes. I haven't bought into the 'ugly dad trainer trend' unfortunately as they'd definitely be comfortable!

Hmm tricky. I'm jealous of your social life though sounds fun

This scenario is where the jumpsuit is my best friend - so easy to dress up and down and funky with trainers. I'd go with Studio by Preen midi dress out of your choices I reckon - maybe with a block heel boot and big ol' earrings
