Where can I find quirky (but not completely out there!) handmade jewellery?

I want some jewellery for Christmas and my dh has asked me to give him ideas about some places to look. I tried Etsy and not on the high street as starting points but in the main they were a bit samey and looked like stuff I could get anywhere.

Any pointers? Thanks.

Depends how quirky but I love little pig jewellery. Emma is very creative and does custom designs to whatever you like

Wow, the Victoria Walker pieces are beautiful, especially the kinetic lockets.

Lovely lady too, she's a talented singer who makes jewellery.

stopdropandroll · 26/11/2018 21:26

look up peggybeard on instagram, she has some lovely things all totally handmade.

I think Dazzle is a good steer. I like Gail Klaven who often seems through them. This is also her website www.gailklevan.com/product/art-gallery-bracelet/

A friend makes silver jewellery with bursts of colour - I love it: www.colour-designs.co.uk

Anastasia Young - she makes the most stunning pieces, tutors jewellery-making, and writes brilliant books. www.anastasiayoung.co.uk

I like Alison Moore

I think she's currently my favourite Orcadian jewellery designer but there are lots to choose from. Someone suggested Ortak, personally I think their quality is not great.

Might also be worth looking at Sheila Fleet, Ola Gorie, Zoe Davidson, Fluke, in fact here's a comprehensive list.

JuniorDetective · 27/11/2018 19:51

@CountTessa your friend's jewellery is absolutely beautiful! I haven't heard of seaglass before. Thank you for sharing.

Got any upmarket Xmas craft/gift fairs near you? Often get small scale designers there

Thanks for the extra links. Dh has now asked me to stop sending him them - there were sooooo many good ones though! Grin
