Do you like either of these two bags, one red one blue, or neither or both? I have a hankering for a croc bag.

I have one big leather black bag that I use 90% of the time so never really got into handbags.

I love them both! I have similar in red and bright blue. They brighten up my black and navy winter coats. I'd choose the red.

Neither I'm afraid. Though I don't like croc so that probably doesn't help.

Aspinal have so many more classic shapes which are much nicer. That bag is just a bit dated looking. I prefer square edges. The red one would be nicer if it wasn't red sorry to say. Croc just looks a bit cheap imo.

Funnily I've just been looking at the Apsinal site too. But I dont like that shape - I think it looks grannyish too. I do like the second stle more but its a bit boring.

Of the two I'd go with the Hobbs one. Wouldn't pay that price for it, but I'm a miser when it comes to handbag.

I use my black leather kind of totey one for work.

Regards the shape of the Aspinal one, I don't especially love the shape but the other versions in the blue croc are quite a bit smaller and the tote one is too 'open'.

I'm obviously going to a get a U in Handbags...

I don’t really like croc leather - it just looks old fashioned to me. The blue one is awful. If I had to choose one, I would go red. But I would rather have neither.

If you can afford the aspinal then just get both, after all the hobbs is on sale.

I like the both and prefer the aspinal one. For me they are too small, I prefer larger bags, but I like both.

The fact you're asking strangers on an internet forum is really quite telling. Neither are particularly nice and over-priced, the Aspinal one scandalously so! Also, I'd never buy a mock-croc bag like this either as they just look cheap and well, plasticky.

If you're after a shopper style tote, buy a Mansur Gavriel one - beautiful leather and a wide range of colours. Price more in line with the Aspinal one but a million times nicer. You should check out Smythson handbags too as their leathers are lovely too. All in all, if you're willing to spend £800 you can get something so much nicer!

Sorry OP, they're both pretty grim.

The Aspinal one is horrendous, both the style and the colour (and much as I like an expensive bag, you'd have to pay me to use that bloody awful thing).

The Hobbs one is total dullsville. It looks like a very boring work bag. Is that what you're looking for? Your taste seems to be frumpy granny with no style at all. (Sorry!). The Hobbs one is the least offensive of the two. I can't even begin to describe how revolting the Aspinal one is.

I like the red one, not the turquoise. Don't like it's shape or colour.
