what will I do with my hair if I wear this?

I'll try to link it.....

I'm wearing this soon and I have shoulder length hair.

I think it probably need to be pulled back into a pony tail to show off the top/my shoulders. Pony tails for me are for when my hair looks crap so I don't associate it with elegance and looking good My skills are limited to pulling it back and shoving in a band.

What can I do? What can I dress it up with? I looked at hair accessories but I can't imagine wearing one of those feathery things.

Can't you put it up loosely with one of those big clips?

Tortington · 21/06/2007 16:15

MamaG · 21/06/2007 16:15

this sort of thing?

bozza · 21/06/2007 16:17

Very easy honestly. Or buy lots of grips and put small sections up individually.

frumpygrumpy · 21/06/2007 16:18

what do I do with it? I think I'd fidget all night and end up running back and forward to the loos to fix it. It needs to withstand ceilidh dancing too!

very loose curls

MamaG · 21/06/2007 16:18

or this

wurlywurly · 21/06/2007 16:19

you can have an elegant ponytail, just make sure your hair is freshly washed and blow dried and it will look fine.

frumpygrumpy · 21/06/2007 16:23

PMSL MamaG. I just might

what about this?

MrsBadger · 21/06/2007 16:37

get a either a big slide or one of those curved bun holders with a pin through (not a claw clip) and practise using it to put all hair up in a chignon

my hair is past my shoulders - I make a ponytail, twist and twist and twist until it starts to twist into itself, then twist it to lie against my head in a figure of eight. Clip goes acros the cross of the 8.

(Claire's is a good place to look)

I lvoe that top fg. I like whirly's idea, and that is very simple to do. I couldn't ever get my hair to stay up in anything fancy neither.

Desiderata · 21/06/2007 19:23

Scunci!!

binkleandflip · 21/06/2007 19:26

We had a ceilidh for our wedding reception and let me tell you, loose curls are the way to go as by the end we were all sweaty (sorry, glistening) bunch with hair everywhere anyway, but god it was such a good laugh!

estar · 21/06/2007 22:12

Was anyone else slightly traumatised that on bozza's link to the monsoon sight it said that the clip had a real catseye?

Sick and wrong

frumpygrumpy · 21/06/2007 23:15
