Microblading reassurance

So....been umming and aaaahing for about a year, researched it all etc.
Went to get them done this morning.
All went fine, was happy with the shape that was drawn on.
I've got home and I'm horrified. Dark and thick.
I know that this is the first step, and I know they are meant to fade and reduce as the healing process continues, but please can some of you who have been through this reassure me? I'm really happy with the shape but kind of worried right now!

They really do look fine.

They look lovely! You're gorgeous btw Smile

EllenCarver · 23/11/2018 23:46

Ooh they look MUCH better now! They’ll be great 👍

Loonoon · 24/11/2018 05:19

They look nice. It’s just the difference you are noticing. To other people they look normal.

I had mine done in the summer and went from little wispy patches of invisible grey bum fluff to very defined arches. It took a bit of getting used to but I trusted the practitioner and stuck with it. Now I love them. They take years off me, make me look groomed even without make up and I even wish I’d gone a little darker.

I think they look fantastic, it's just a big difference from what you're used to based on your 'before' pic.

Thank you all for your comments - it's good to hear your experiences and it has been reassuring. I've woken up this morning and still pretty much hate them, but I appreciate your kindness and I'll just have to wait until they heal and hope for the best! (I have a little more hope now!)
I'll post pictures when they've healed for comparison x

Honestly they look great as they are not too dark/heavy at all, you just need to get used to them.

JoyceDivision · 24/11/2018 09:26

You look fab op, and looking at your pics they look normal, I didn't think they looked too heavy or dark, it's just different for you Smile

GreyHare · 24/11/2018 09:52

Completely normal please do not scrub them or do anything to them apart from what your technician has told you to do.

You will hate them as they are too dark until they heal and the scabs flake off and then you will panic as you'll think they have disappeared and you'll miss your too dark brows but they do come back, and once they've settled you will love them and will wonder what all the worry was about.

SmallDalek · 25/11/2018 08:37

They (and you) look gorgeous. Not too thick, nicely and naturally shaped and match your hair. I agree it will be the shock at how different they look compared to what you are used to, that’s freaking you out. I’ve not had mine done but would love to. They will fade down a bit soon but in the meantime I hope you get used to them because they’re great imo.
