What jacket/wrap/scarf to wear to winter ball?

Help please!
I have never had to wear my trusty ball dress in cold weather before, but we are off to a formal dinner and dance in the middle of December and although the venue is indoors, I’m the sort of person to always feel the cold.
Can anyone suggest something to go with this dress? Thanks in advance!

I'd wear a velvet bolero, feather or faux fur shrug. I think Debenhams have some of the latter in at the moment but I'd actually check eBay out for stuff from Coast and Monsoon as you'll pick up a bargain - a lot of this sort of thing is on eBay as people wear it once and then sell on!
