Size 16 in your fifties? What do you wear?

I feel like I've lost my own style ... or maybe I haven't got one.

I'm mid fifties, 5 foot 7, long curly dark hair, size 16, being this size means I've few wrinkles so I guess I'm happy with it for that reason. I've no waist to speak of.

I live in leggings and baggy long jumpers at this time of year. They're comfortable and I can't be doing with things digging into me. I wear ankle boots or trainers. I do like Tshirt dresses/jumper dresses with tights too. I cant wear anything with wool or totally acrylic due to itchy skin problems, prefer cotton and viscose.

What do you wear if you're similar size and age? I don't need work wear, just casual clothes. I'm skint at the moment but I'm always looking on eBay and in charity shops. Just trying to get ideas at the moment.

I've looked at blogs but can't find any that look like me. Same on Pinterest.

When I was a bit slimmer I used to wear jeans with vest tops and long cardigans , but I find jeans quite uncomfortable these days, they pinch and chaff.

Does anyone fancy posting photos or linking to blogs/pinterest posts that might suit me?

I am currently wearing M&S skinny high rise black jeans which goes over my tummy and a Uniqlo stripy thick cotton long sleeve top. I wear trainers or black boots depending on the weather. I find this all comfortable and slimming. I often wear shirts which are very forgiving.

I follow Erica Davies and Helenwearsasize18 on instagram although I never wear their styles but I just like them due their similar age and sizes.

However saying that now I'm home I've just changed into an esprit grey long sleeve thick cotton top and my Tu boyfriend jeans. I also wear Top shop Hayden Jeans quite often when I'm being very casual.

I hate leggings unless under a dress or skirt as they are not forgiving at all for me.

I think the trick is not to wear tops that go right over my bum but hit your bum half way yet covering my mum tum.

Thanks Tantric. I never wear stripy tops, I thought the stripes might make me look fatter. I'll have a look tho. I'll check out the Instagram accounts too.
