Can a size 14/16 apple shape wear a bikini??

If not, what else can I wear & where would I buy something??

I am off to France in 2 weeks time. I have 2 full swimming costumes that I wear to the pool at home, but would like something for holidays.

Can I wear a tankini?

Would you laugh at a fatty on the beach in a bikini?

I value honesty.

Oh yes, I love those 2 bikinis cod. Very tasteful.

I always take the advice offered to me, so I shall send for them, even just to try them on. I do think I will just need 2 of them. I am only going for a week. 2 of those days will be spent at Disney so I'll only be at the beach/pool a max of 4 days

PPB, what end of the Lisburn road is Honey at? As dh works up there so can help me find it Thanks

Its just past the police station if you were going like you were heading out of belfast. Its down near the other boutiques, like Harpers, Aura, Rojo, Mary & martha and so on

Pannacotta · 19/06/2007 23:04

My sis is 32FF and she bought a Freya "Drew" bikini last year, there are some on ebay.
Very pretty/sexy and supportive too.

fireflyfairy2 · 19/06/2007 23:05

I think I have passed Aura before, so dh will be able to give me directions. Thankyou

There's a shop in town that had lovely bikinis in, must go in there a look too. It's where I usually buy my underwear so I know they measure you & check for fit so at least they will be honest.

Thanks, Freya is the type of bras I buy so I know they are a good, comfortable fit! Hopefully they will sell them in the shop I buy my undies in

I am slightly traumatised as wil be going on hols with dd (2) fine, she thinks I am most beautiful woman in world, ds (5) ditto. And dsd (15) and her best mate (16) who are both size 6-8 and blardy gorgeous! Oh well, will still wear bikini and scare them

fireflyfairy2 · 19/06/2007 23:09

I show my 15 yr old niece my stretch marks & saggy belly & say "Never, ever, ever have sex unless you are prepared to look like this"

She is suitably terrified

Heathcliffscathy · 19/06/2007 23:21

really REALLY worth investing in decent bikini if you have norks.

and are you SURE that is your size???? really really really, been fitted recently in a proper shop sure???

that bit is very important.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 19/06/2007 23:21

not to hijack BUT....you lot are v.good at recomending .....what about me ? Size 6-8 pre-pregnancy, am currently 25 weeks but have a very small, ' spread out ' type of bump.....usually wear bikinis, but when pregnant ? ( even in my ' minimalist ' way...).
Live in France...so intrnet...
Or just wear one-pieces ?
Or tankinii....never worn one of those,( useful for b/fing ? )
