Do any of you use a wardrobe organiser app?

I'm looking for an app to organise my wardrobe (or more precisely to organise outfits). I've seen Stylicious which looks okay but just wondering if anyone has used this or any others and generally to get the views of the mn fashionistas.

Bumping for you

blueberrygoose · 11/11/2018 21:32

Oh I didn't know you could even get a wardrobe organiser app, I'll need to look into this as I'm currently having fitted wardrobes built in two rooms.

MrsFogi · 11/11/2018 22:00

Thanks mammmamia hopefully someone will be along soon. Otherwise I will need to take a leap alone and potentially become the MN Style board's guru on the subject Shock.

Another one here who never knew!

I now want one, hopping on for recommendations Smile.

lifebeginz · 12/11/2018 10:00

Never knew such apps existed.....now off to google ....

highwoodwitch · 12/11/2018 10:22

Try Cladwell. I believe it is free for a limited time. You can select from similar clothes or take photos either from your camera or the store site. You can log each day's clothes.

I downloaded "yourcloset" about a month ago, but haven't actually got around to using it yet! Will make it my mission for the week and report back :)

Snipples · 12/11/2018 10:32

Also didn't know you could get apps for this - very interesting. Will have a look. Would be great for work

TheWombat · 13/11/2018 14:14

I’m interested in this too! I’ve found quite a few, but haven’t tried any yet. I quite like the idea that they might help me ‘shop my wardrobe’ more effectively. Also I’ve seen apps where others can style outfits for you, which I think would give me some good inspiration.
Stylebook is one - costs £3.99

Smart Closet - Free itunes.apple.com/gb/app/smart-closet-fashion-style/id1198057728?mt=8

Glam Outfit (£2.99) seems to have good reviews..

I’ve seen Stylebook recommended on here before so took a screenshot of it to remind myself! Have yet to download and use though.

Sitranced · 13/11/2018 20:02

I tried one cant remember which but I couldn't see what features it had over a simple spreadsheet. So I did one of those instead.

whereiscaroline · 13/11/2018 20:11

Yes! Style Book! I LOVE IT!

(Do all the exclamation marks give you a hint about how strongly
I love it?!) Wink

whereiscaroline · 13/11/2018 20:12

Here's a screenshot of my work wardrobe "looks" from within Style Book app.

whereiscaroline is there a feature where you can see the outfits that other app users put together? I’d find this so helpful for outfit info also I’m just nosy

whereiscaroline · 13/11/2018 20:38

@TheWombat sadly not, I would also love that!

TheWombat · 13/11/2018 21:18

@whereiscaroline that screenshot has done it for me, I’m going to give it a go!

MrsFogi · 13/11/2018 21:40

Thanks whereiscaroline - you've sold it to me, job cut out for the weekend....

How does it work?

whereiscaroline · 13/11/2018 22:28

It's easiest if you've bought the clothes recently, in all honesty. That makes finding pictures of them online much easier. You then screenshot the item, upload it to the app, remove the background (really easy to do in the app) and save it to your wardrobe in the correct category. You can add as much or as little detail as you wish, eg colour, price, material, size, where it was from.

One of my favourite features is the randomiser tool. You can pick categories eg top, bottoms, shoes, handbags, jackets, and it will randomly put items together to give you outfit ideas. You can then add or remove items as you wish.

I reeeeeeally love it. You can also search by item so if I know I have my maroon trousers clean and ironed for work tomorrow, I can see what "looks" they're in to decide what to wear the next day. Hope you all like it as much as I do. Smile

PickAChew · 13/11/2018 22:29

Why?

GrimDamnFanjo · 14/11/2018 00:10

I have Stylebook too and I love it! So handy for shopping. I'm logging all my outfits at the moment to get a cost per wear (sad
).

TheWombat · 14/11/2018 04:25

I’ve caved and bought it. I have to say I can totally see why it’s addictive - it’s FAB to see all your clothes together! What’s also interesting is it gives you a better insight into your preferred colour palette - and I think that will really help me with making better shopping choices (and also, shopping less, which I am trying to do).

Haven’t put any ‘looks’ together yet but it’s fun just logging my wardrobe!

Rubicsboob · 14/11/2018 04:45

Do you have to use screenshots of images from the internet? I buy a lot of my clothes second hand / vintage, or make them. Could I use my own photos? (I realise my collections would look less polished without the professional photography!)

TheWombat · 14/11/2018 07:46

Not at all Rubic you can take your own photos and crop/edit out the background in the app. I will have to do that with most of my clothes because I hang onto things for ages!

bengalcat · 14/11/2018 07:48

Lol . No I just throw on whatever is in my wardrobe .
