for the last few weeks i have spent more time rummaging and thinking i've lost my carkey/phone, panicking then having to tip it out onto pavement then i care to mention.

how do you all keep your handbags in order?

janeite - you can tie it to zip tag etc of bag but I always end up with a ribbon too short to reach the front door

and one of the glossy mags is giving away a set of clear makeup bags this month - can't remmeber which one though.

absolute neccessities:
purse
phone
house keys
car keys
diary (tis a teeny Letts one about the size of a business card)
card holder
bus pass

usual extras:
comb
hair elastic
pen
mints
tissues
umbrella

optional extras:
book
water
mp3 player
pashmina/scarf/cardi

things I don't carry routinely and can't see why I would:
sewing kit
painkillers
cheque book

Thanks Mrs Badger. Will look out for the magazine.

My essentials are:

  • tissues
  • pen
  • headache tablets
  • little Nivea deodrant
  • lipbalm
  • Headache stuff, or tigerbalm or origins Peace Of Mind
  • purse
  • house keys

In addition for work -

  • huge bunch of classroom keys
  • small filofax
  • pencil case
  • lunchbox
  • brolly

No wonder it's a mess!

M&S has see though plastic make up bags at the mo in sets and cheap too. Will get some myself, great idea, I live in a terminal state of handbag mess, forever calling DH to say I have locked myself out only to find my keys once I have emptied my bag on the garden path...
