Question about hair colouring

I have medium brown hair and I've just had it dyed darker at the hair salon. I much prefer it but am wondering how long I should leave it before getting it redone as I know it will fade, roots will come through etc.

Any ideas?

Probably about 6 weeks, but you'll know when the time comes as it just won't look as good as it does now!

I wash my hair every day so does that mean I will have to get it redone even sooner?

depends how you look at it...it will fade and your roots wont be so obvious

i do mine every 6 weeks, could get away with it for longer though if my greys didnt keep coming through.

i was told 6 to 8 weeks or a little longer if you can also use a fade resist shampoo to prolong clour

Thanks - yes have a fade resist shampoo. So general consensus is 6 weeks.
