I bet they are worn by mentil weaving, moon cup wearers in birkenstocks.

oh, it's some kind of neckerchief ?

suedonim · 18/06/2007 17:43

Yuk! They're the sort of thing old ladies wear when they're putting out the dustbins and de-worming the cat.

OrmIrian · 18/06/2007 18:00

DH has one. DOn't think he uses a moon-cup or weaves lentils . He has a shaved head and it's good for keeping sun off his head. And with his semi-permanent builders tan, earing and beardy thing he does look piratical. I wouldn't wear one because it wouldn't go right and probably end up over one ear or something.

Seen them in the sports shops here but havent actually seen anyone wearing them; ditto crocs.

deaconblue · 18/06/2007 21:31

What on earth are they? Thoguht they were some kind of odd muff cover at first lol

scatterbrain · 18/06/2007 21:33

Saw lots of people waering them skiing - inc dh and dd !! Better than scarves and you can pull them up over your mouth and nose if you're chilly - not a great look but cosy !

moondog · 18/06/2007 21:34

They call them 'buffs' do they??
Worn a great deal around this part of t' world (Snowdonia) by loud irritating climbing types with white bits on their noses where the sunglasses perch almost permanenently and strange baggy floral trousers.

No local would be seen dead in them.

The teams on Survivor have them. I just thought they were a team colour scarf thing, didn't realise people wore them in RL!
