Help me pick an amazing red lipstick for my sister!

Want to get her a real treat lipstick - she loves red but doesn't get to treat herself often.

She's very retro chic with pale skin, blue eyes and bleach blonde hair. Honestly, she's annoyingly gorgeous.

I'm thinking either Chanel or MAC. Any recommendations?

I have the same colouring and Ruby Woo is one shade that I've found really suits me (it's MAC). Its a cold/blueish red which seems to suit me much better than any warmer or orangey ones.

I'll have a rummage in my makeup for any other favourites- I'm sure I have a smashbox one that's pretty too

Smashbox Infrared lipstick is good imo & has great staying power. I’m also pale with blue eyes & blond hair.

Mac Russian Red is a classic red lip. Another classic Mac one is Lady Danger which is a very vibrant orangey red.

Not a treat as such, but the colour is gorgeous for her (and my) colouring -Revlon Cherries in the snow.
It's a womanly(rather than girly) dark red-pink

Mac Red Rock is a similar red to Ruby Woo but with a kinder on the lips formula. RW is notoriously dry but obvs people buy it anyway!

Ooh I thought I was set on Ruby Woo but I don't like the sound of dry - we are a plump lipped family and can't cope with that!

If you want to be impressively trendy, Fenty Beauty's lip paint in Stunna is THE red of 2018.

I have a Clarins red lipstick that is a beautiful colour as I the packaging. I feel very expensive every time I use it

I like Dior 999, wear it a lot.

I second Dior 999. It's the only red that doesn't turn pink on me and it stays on all night.

Another idea is to get her a lipstick from Besame. If she’s into the vintage type look, Besame is a company by a makeup historian who bases her cosmetics on actual vintage cosmetics she finds in estate sales. I use 1920 red (their classic red) and get compliments everytime! It’s an American brand but you can find it on a website called voodoovixen, and sometimes it pops up on beauty bay!

Charlotte Tilbury ‘So Marilyn’ is gorgeous.

I wear Smashbox Bing. It's a blue based red and I always get compliments when I wear it. Good staying power too without being too drying.

You have just given me a flashback to my first bright red lipstick, which was Besame! I can't remember which colour it was specifically, but it was a beautiful shade (enough so to get me over my fear of red) and the packaging is gorgeous. It would be a nice gift lipstick.
