I took DS for a beauty treatment today, and he's really chuffed

He's a teenager and has a few spots, nothing terrible, but he tends to get a lot of blackheads and they really bother him. So I took him for a blackhead removal facial and now he keeps admiring his skin when he catches sight of himself in a mirror. Grin He has another session next week to get the rest of them out. I thought he would hate the whole process, but he quite liked it. I hate being touched by strangers so would have to be in dire straits skin-wise before I would have a facial.

Aww, sweetie Grin

I bought my boyfriend exfoliating scrub back in the early days and told him firmly to use it. It did wonders!

The beauty therapist sold me some Dermatologica teen skin face mask for him to use a couple of times a week and DS has asked me to show him how to use it. I've bought him face washes etc before but he doesn't like using them, so at least he's showing willing. For the last year or so he's just been using Nip+Fab Teen Skin pads because they're no effort.

That's lovely.
Will do wonders for his self confidence.

This is all very well, but don't let him near a can of Lynx!

Too late HollowTalk, much, much, much too late.

My Dd when she is back from uni in the hols always gives her teen brother a facial, finishing off with a charcoal face mask!!

My DD18 did the whole charcoal face mask on DS14. The screams were something else when she tried to take it off and it was stuck to his eyebrows!

How lovely for your DS. My two DS’s have always used products and boys do tend to do treatments now.
