Looking for the perfect, go-with-any-outfit, stylish blazer

Hello!

Whilst having a quick peruse at TKMaxx yesterday, I tried on a long, black blazer. It was fitted and then kicked out a little and went all the way down to my knees, so definitely longline. The second I put it on my whole outfit looked so much more together, and I felt I looked more stylish and confident. I didn't buy it as the fit wasn't perfect, but it made me think I need to find some blazers/jackets to pull together my outfits and make me feel great!

However, I think I'm inventing a picture of what I want in my head and I'm not sure where to start looking! I have a lot of patterned clothes (love Anthroplogie and vintage look things) so I think I need blazers to be relatively plain, but fitted and feminine. I'm looking for something that I can wear in the day but that could be dressed up at night. I'm looking for a jacket in a neutral colour but would like to find a jacket in a jewel colour too. I'm open to plain (i.e. not huge amounts of detail) but I love clothes that have a goodly amount of material in them/a bit of swish!

Thanks, wonderfully helpful peeps! 😊

There's this one from Hush

blazer

I've had a black Hush blazer for a couple of years and it's really good.

I personally think you need a few black blazers in different shapes as it depends what you wear underneath, classic shape blazer looks good with a slim silhouette underneath whereas I prefer one with waist definition if pairing with fuller skirts & dresses. Different lengths are also useful. I think I have about 6 from Topshop bought over the years.
