Facial oils?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a facial oil that doesn’t contain mineral oil (as those give me awful cystic acne). I’ve had a look at Caroline Hirons site but in all honesty it was confusing and not sure I can bear the idea of spending £70 when it might not work! TIA 😀

Dunno. I’m early 40s and have normal/combination skin (slightly dry forehead and cheeks, slightly greasy and spot prone chin and nose). Rosehip oil works beautifully for me. Moisturising and clears up my skin nicely.

I'm going to go against the grain of this thread and say I don't think oils are great for the skin. Read Dr Sam Bunting's advice.

Wow, some of you use expensive oils 😯 I use apricot kernel oil. I apply it at night after cleansing, massage in, wait 10 mins, then use good old Nivea Creme. The oil is quite light, so works under moisturiser (I use it on my neck during the day too), is vitamin E rich, and pretty cheap - about a fiver for half a litre. I'm in my early 40s and found that my skin started looking a bit dehydrated, and adding the oil sorts it out.

In my fifties, sensitive, combination skin, my absolute favourite is rose rose hip

There are no hard and fast rules, its about finding what works best for you.

I totally adore Caroline Hirons, but there is absolutely no reason to be paying that kind of money for face oil, is there? God knows she certainly isn’t paying anything for it!!!
Pure rosehip oil is fabulous for my jumpy skin. (I have rosacea that is prone to cysts, pustules and scars. So sexy... not.) While I love a scented product as much as the next woman, I have learned the value of avoiding them on my face at last. If you are prone to breakouts, avoid any of the “waxy” oils like jojoba, olive, almond, etc... they form a film and create issues in the long term. Green tea seed oil (Camellia Sinensis) is lovely too. (A bit more expensive though.)
