Quick vote: hair natural grey, purple or pink? (with photos)

It's currently in its natural state and while I do like it, I feel a bit bored. And without makeup, haggard 😓.

Shall I leave it as is or dye and if your vote is to dye: shall I do it pastel pink or pastel purple?

Also, am currently job hunting - won't be for anything super formal or corporate but is artificially coloured hair a red flag to prospective employers?

Thank you!

I like the pastel purple.

Can't comment on the job hunting. Safest to leave as is I would guess. I like'as is' too.

JC4PMPLZ · 17/10/2018 18:15

Love the purple.

TipseyTorvey · 17/10/2018 19:29

I work in a very corporate environment so if you turned up with purple hair I might think you a tad frivolous but if you were amazing in the interview I'd overlook it, but why risk that first impression? However if you work in a lovely creative industry it would probably make you stand out.

ggirl · 17/10/2018 19:32

not the pink , the others are nice
yours is subtle but I don't think the trend for bright pink is flattering to anyone tbh

NonaGrey · 17/10/2018 19:35

I actually think that the grey looks far better than the other two. Your hair looks healthy and well maintained.

Pink and purple can look great when first done but can quickly look really shabby.

verite · 17/10/2018 22:09

I like the grey and the purple best. Both look lovely

Ladybirdbookworm · 17/10/2018 22:50

Love the grey ..I think the other two are nowhere near as nice ♥️

Angelcd · 18/10/2018 00:34

Yeah grey is all in ,you could get a darker grey done if you wanted a change and maybe ge a few coloured highlights through it x

PickAChew · 18/10/2018 00:42

Colours over grey tend to be semis.

Try one. If you hste it. You'll be free of it soon and not try again.

stellabird · 18/10/2018 00:47

If you are job hunting I wouldn't risk artificial colours tbh. I'd go with a more natural honey blonde.

CountFosco · 18/10/2018 05:41

I recruit scientists for Pharma. The colour of your hair wouldn't affect my impression of you at all and I don't think it looks outrageous, we have quite a few young ones at work with dyed grey and pink or purple hair.

But it will depend on sector, if you were going into a law firm they tend to be more conservative.

As far as colour goes I like the purple best but if you're concerned about impressions I'd either stick with completely natural or possibly have a steel grey shade over it to remove the traces of the pink/purple.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 18/10/2018 05:43

All look lovely!

EdisonLightBulb · 18/10/2018 05:44

Love the purple!

HeronLanyon · 18/10/2018 05:45

Grey is lovely. Purple next. Not sure the pink suits your colouring and it looks harsh. Stay with grey. If job hunting many would find purple hair inappropriate (depends though on sectornyou are applying in). Good luck job hunting no matter what your hair colour !

Westwing1 · 18/10/2018 11:47

Purple.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 18/10/2018 11:55

I prefer the grey. You could tone it a little with some silver toner maybe? The purple is also nice but I would wait until after you have your job! Don't like the pink so much.

Do not go honey blonde. Beige is not a good look. Grin

SilentIsla · 18/10/2018 13:14

Blonde would be better. Think those pastel colours are ageing.

ChateauneufDuTwat · 18/10/2018 13:24

Oh, blonde is 100% not an option. Hate how often it's suggested to those with grey hair tbh. I'm cool toned and would look shocking as any kind of blonde not to mention the hassle and expense of the upkeep.

Still undecided. Might do a purple rinse a la Mrs Slocombe and see how I feel before I commit.

Thanks all.

My hair is totally grey. I have it cut short and dyed blonde, but with a darkish purple section at the front and a light violet tone over the rest.

princessbear80 · 18/10/2018 13:34

The grey looks amazing. I wish my greys looked like that! Also like the purple. Think the pink is ok, but maybe more suited to summer. Your cut is great too.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 18/10/2018 16:43

Don’t feck around with perfection.... your grey is stunning.

CountFosco · 18/10/2018 21:24

Thank fuck you said no to blond. I hate that blond that so many women become as they age. Your natural grey is much more youthful.

slithytove · 18/10/2018 21:48

Purple, and it wouldn’t stop me hiring you

Helmetbymidnight · 18/10/2018 21:51

You look gorgeous, even pixelated, I love your hair.
Cant help with the colour, they all look nice!
