Just brought some St. Tropez everyday moisturising tanning stuff, how do I do it?

How exactly do I do this? I have very pale skin, don't want to look like I've been tango'd, don't want stripes and orange patches, don't want orange heels, elbows, knees, hands, how do I get it looking lovely even in hard to reach places? Is there anywhere I don't put it?

Come on give me all of your self-tanning tricks of the trade please

I just tried out Maybelline brozing tan. It's an instant one so good for if you haven't been arsed to do daily tanning for a few days.

Anway, if you have one of those Toga type parties coming up, this will be great. I was so bronzed I could have passed as Tutankhamon.

LOL newlife.!

Well this morning I noticed that maybe I couldn't reach my back like I thought I could . Will have to bribe dh tonight.!

NatalieJane · 15/06/2007 14:49

Shh, normally my DH wouldn't get involved but the sight of me starkers in the living room changed his mind!

...though that sight would normally put most people off....

I know what you mean..! TBH I couldn't think of anything worse but dh (like yours) seem to prefer it.! Thing is he knows that theres nothing after, not unless he wants to match me in colour lol..!!!
Also when I finally get time to apply it at 11pm, after having 2 under 2 all day thats the last thing on my mind.!

NatalieJane · 15/06/2007 17:32

LOL It was 11.42pm when I finished putting it on last night, though I can't beat you on the kids front, I have a much more managable 5yo and a 6 month old! Though not managable enough to be able to put fake tan on at a reasonable hour.

Is there anything that takes this stuff off? I am fine, DS2, who is breast fed, now has a little orange nose and two little orange cheeks PMSL and all at the same time....!!

I am going to the trafford centre later so is there anything I can buy there that will rid him of his orange little face?!!

LOL NJ..! I did the same..well nearly..Was feeding ds and when I looked at him his head was resting in the crook of my arm.... I thought Oh sh1t, poor little mite is going to have a tanned right side of his face tomorrow.. Gave him a little colour at least!

NatalieJane · 18/06/2007 15:57

LOL, at least this isn't a 'proper' self tan, could have been worse!!

Anyone who is actually using this at the moment, how long does a bottle last you? I've been using it for a few days and I bet I've only got enough left for two days max, am I using too much?

i'm getting a st tropez tan before I go away (uk only) and I'm thinking of getting some of this to keep it topped up, any more reviews? and is it expensive

Millie1 · 19/06/2007 21:36

I tried it a week or two back ... my legs ended up orange & brown streaks & blotches. I had exfoliated (sort of ) but hadn't been moisturising beforehand and maybe it ended up patchy cos my legs were dry. Arms were ok but I find it impossible to get an even coverage. Am using a tanning glove thingy ... would I be better with just bare hands.

Also, does anyone else find that it takes forever and a day to dry?
