Can any hairdressers give me advise??

I'm naturally a redhead and currently have permanent medium to dark brown dye on my hair. I want to dye it black but i've damaged my hair so much in the past going from black back to a lighter colour :( what would happen if i used a semi permanent black over the brown? (eg. manic panic raven or something similar)

Sorry not a hairdresser but I don’t think the colour will fade as much as you hope when you get bored of it. At the very best you’ll probably be left with a v dark brown when it’s fully faded, so you’ll probably have to bleach it to lighten it again because the black pigment is potent.
