Here's my face. Should I or not?

Hair currently is shoulder length but I'm bored of it.

What about a cut like Emma from big brother? Her hair always looks fab similar features to you x

MsMightyTitanAndHerTroubadours · 10/10/2018 17:23

what about something very short with a swooshier fringe, you still have enough to twist/quiff up at the front, and you can still get some curly bits in it

have a google for asymmetric pixie, you can do a bit of undercut with tht too if you want to really go for it.

Autumnnymph · 10/10/2018 18:16

@pixieornot how about something like this ? I think it would work very well wirh your face shape.

Yes, I just posted this on another thread. I think it'd really suit you.

Yes I think it would really suit you, you have delicate features.

BrightonGallery7 · 10/10/2018 19:48

The Marmite expression suggests you either love it or loathe it. I thought everybody knew that? Pixie haircuts are not for everyone, in other words.

Many people regret having their hair chopped so drastically. Then they regret their decision again when they try to grow their hair and they have to deal with the dreaded in-between stage.

I think the OP can avoid this.

AuntyJackiesBrothersSistersBoy · 10/10/2018 19:49

Such a pretty face....you could carry off a shirt cut. Definitely. And, it’ll grow!

Short. Short cut.

These are nice too though I know you don’t want a bob.

You're very pretty I'm sure you could carry off a pixie but whenever I see before and afters of a pixie cut I usually prefer the before. Are you just bored with your current hair? Are there other options to try?

dudsville · 10/10/2018 20:42

What did you go for op?

wowfudge · 10/10/2018 21:13

I know what Marmite means but I think it is true of lots of haircuts. Lots of people have very dull haircuts which do nothing for them.

BrightonGallery7 · 10/10/2018 21:15

The OP’s hair is pretty nice. She would be mad to chop it although the front could be softened.

BrightonGallery7 · 10/10/2018 21:17

I never think the pixie cut - the after - is better than the original style.

pixieornot · 10/10/2018 21:18

Haircut is on Tuesday. My other option is something like this.

You have the face shape for it ....

Although it will look shit when/if you grow it out. AND I do think it ages people

Thatstheendofmytether · 10/10/2018 21:28

I thi k you would really suit it actually. You have good bone structure for it.

Refilona · 10/10/2018 21:30

That haircut on the last picture is much nicer and modern. The pixie cut looks good on some people but for most people it’s the middle aged, boring, “can I speak to your manager” haircut.

Note: I’ve had a pixie before and I cringe looking at those pictures. Took ages to grow back and looked shit as I was growing it out.

BrightonGallery7 · 10/10/2018 21:38

Can I speak to your manager?
🤣

CountFosco · 11/10/2018 05:51

Generally the 'Can I speak to the Manager?' is a sensible MC bob, not a pixie.

Some people are very invested in other women not cutting their hair. If it's an itch you want to scratch OP just do it. It's hair, it'll grow. Or you may decide you never want to grow it again. I'm at the stage of thinking that now after a lifetime of going short to long and back again. I'm much happier with short hair.

And the growing out stage is fine IF you keep getting it regularly shaped, don't just stop going to the hairdresser and then getting annoyed because your hair looks shit when you've not had a haircut for 3 months Hmm.

Napssavelives · 11/10/2018 05:54

I love my pixie :)

TheNavigator · 11/10/2018 06:16

Can we just stop with the 'Can I speak to the Manager?' misogyny please?

AnotherRoadsideAttraction · 11/10/2018 06:29

Go for the pixie. It's just hair...it will grow back whether or not you like it short!

Donthugmeimscared · 11/10/2018 07:01

Do it I had mine cut off recently and I love it. My face doesn't even suit short hair but I love the how quick it takes to get ready in the morning.

Merrz · 11/10/2018 08:46

Please do it, i've been having this debate for about the last 3 years and keep chickening out every time i go to the hairdresser!

TheDowagerCuntess · 11/10/2018 08:47

Gosh, I can't believe someone said your face is too slender for a pixie! That's the ideal face shape, especially with your cheek bones.

I have a friend with a pixie hair cut. She's mid 40s, never wears a scrap of make-up and is greying. She is stunning. She has bright blue eyes, exquisite elfin features, cheekbones you can grate carrots on and a ready smile.

I'm convinced she would look really non-descript with a bog-standard / graduated bob or long hair. Instead, she looks amazing - and all she had to do is jump out of bed and she's good to go. Envy

Your face shape is similar to hers. Go for it!
