What colour are these eyes? And what eyeshadow should I buy for them?

Please could someone tell me what colour my eyes are? I've always thought they were blue, but others are saying green. Now I have been looking at them for so long, I don't know myself!

I want to know what colour eye makeup would complement them the best. I normally wear brown/bronze/gold but am looking to introduce some more colour.

Finally, any eyeshadow/pencil recommendations would be fab. I prefer creme eyeshadow to powder.

Thanks all Smile

I'd say your eyes are green. Quite similar to my DD's eye colour. Hers were blue until she was past 1 but are now green. No help with eyeshadows etc but I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along soon.

Greeny hazel. Try aubergine and plum colours.

Lexjo · 08/10/2018 11:15

Thanks - I'll look into those colours

Ooh lovely eyes!

I would say they are grey and I would love to get at them (you!) with some bronze/gold eyeshadow - which IMO is the perfect contrast and would really make your eyes pop (ex-make up artist here!). Gold/bronze is also lovely with green eyes so if your eyes do have a green hue to them it would still work.

If metallics are a bit too full on for you, non-metallic golds and browns would also work.

Badtasteflump · 08/10/2018 13:57

Doh! Just re read your OP and I see you already wear bronze and gold Grin

If you like cream eyeshadows then you need to end to your nearest Revlon counter, they do one in a glass pot called Colorstay cream eyeshadow and they've got a lovely purple one called Blackcurrant with a shimmer to it, they've also got the usual Browns and golds etc and a gorgeous green shimmer one too. They don't crease and are a dream to apply!

My eyes are a similar colour. I call them greeny bluey grey! Taupe with a lilac tinge looks good e.g. Laura Mercier caviar stick in grey pearl
I have a Kiko eyeshadow stick that I use all the time but unfortunately it was limited edition and no longer available. To get an idea of the colour it's no. 10 in this post gorgowood.wordpress.com/2014/10/02/walk-of-fame-vol-iii-color-up-long-lasting-eyeshadow-de-kiko/

I usually use the above with a dark brown eyeliner - I like Clinique cream shaper in chocolate lustre www.clinique.co.uk/product/1597/6140/makeup/eye-liners/cream-shapertm-for-eyes or Urban Decay eye pencil in Demolition www.urbandecay.co.uk/en_GB/eyes/eyeliner/24-7/122.html#start=1&cgid=1_500

And how could I forgot Giorgio Armani eye tint in senso - a really great colour you could build up so it can be subtle or more dramatic

I have similar colour eyes and I wear purples, grey and blue. I do wear taupes, gold and browns as well

BusterGonad · 08/10/2018 14:53

By Terry Ombré Blackstar in Misty Rock would look stunning too.

Another vote for "grey" eyes - mine are similar, grew up with "blue" eyes but always paler than my dad's, and as an adult find that it depends on the weather, my mood and what I'm wearing whether they come across as more blue or more green!

Magyar37 · 08/10/2018 15:33

They look blue-grey on my screen. But as they are surrounded by a green background, that might be affecting how green they look in comparison?

Hogtini · 08/10/2018 15:40

Bronze, copper, warm brown would look amazing.

Lexjo · 08/10/2018 17:31

These suggestions are all ace, thank you! I'll give the Revlon pots a whirl and look at introducing purple shades into my makeup routine... thanks again everyone x

I see them as greeny grey and I would probably wear rather muted colours of eyeshadow with them - not just soft browns but perhaps some kind of greyish purples too. Mine are grey, but more of a bluey grey, and I almost always pick pinky browns or goldish browns - I think a contrast helps to make your eye colour stand out.
