High street dupe for Clarifying lotion / Pixi Glow tonic?

Hi there 👋🏼
Needing to downshift some of the more spendy items in my makeup bag - wondering if some clever Mumsnetters could recommend an exfoliating toner / tonic like Clinique Clarifying lotion 2 or 3, but without the price tag.
Thank you in advance. 🌸

Nip + Fab do a glycolic acid but it's no cheaper than pixi. But Superdrug do have great offers innit sometimes so then it does work out cheaper than pixi

Aldi healthy glow toner is the same as pixi glow (glycolic acid) for £3.99.

OrdinaryGirl · 07/10/2018 15:00

Thanks both. I use the Nip Fab Extreme Night pads (on a ridiculously cheap amazon deal) but feel like I need a liquid to use with cotton wool in the morning occasionally to sweep away the layer of dead skin the pads have loosened overnight, if that makes sense.
Will see if I can find an Aldi that stocks the one you mentioned. 💐

I think pixi is on offer at the moment at Boots. The Aldi dupe has good reviews though.

I can honestly say the Aldi one seems the same as pixi glow to me, I've never used the clinique toners though so can't compare it to them.

TwoGinScentedTears · 07/10/2018 15:05

The Nip +Fab one is a liquid. Black bottle, stronger than pixi.

I have never seen the Aldi dupe! I'm going to try and find that!

Aldi bottle looks exactly like pixi...same colours and style. They are blatant rip off merchants Grin

The Alex Steinherr Primark range has Exfoliating Pads for £5.

legolimb · 07/10/2018 15:34

I was coming to suggest Aldi too.

I haven't tried it though - or the Pixi glow so can't comment on that.

But is worth a try for the price.

I just bought the Aldi glow tonic. It doesn’t smell quite as nice and doesn’t have so much aloe Vera, but otherwise the ingredients seem quite similar. No il effects after a couple of days use.
