I had a bad experience with Fairfax twice and so did a friend for two different pies of boots. Both of our issues were the quality of the boots (supposed to premium quality but I’ve honestly seen better in the likes of primark or new look). I paid £365 for leather Regina’s only to find the external sole started to peel away from the shoe at the tip of the toe. So disappointed, got them replaced, couple months later same thing happened. They were also extremely hard to ‘wear in’ I.e awful blisters, red legs and even what felt like bruises once they were off. I even had to size up when I am normally a 5 in every shoe which was more faff than necessary, the price of that boot should include correct sizing advice!
I do think FF&F products are beautiful, just not practical or of good quality. I’ve now opted for some PC tassel boots to go without the faff of customs and potential returns with Valverde.
FF&F are playing the game right with their presence on social media and have flooded the market with their iconic boots, but sadly i’m one of the few that see them for what they are, cheaper PC knock offs with not much thought for the end user.
