A clarifying shampoo that actually removes residue?!

Does one exist?! I need your help. I look like a badger. I'm addicted to hairspray, use way too much. It leaves its imprint in my hair. No clarifying shampoo seems to really get rid of it. Have been using the Toni and Guy detox one. It's rubbish. Tell me something decent exist! And thanks in advance :-)

I use apple cider vinegar mixed with warm water - 100ml acv to 400ml water - before shampooing, once a week. It’s works much better than any clarifying shampoo that I’ve tried and it’s also much cheaper.

@Djnoun - yes, my hair always looks good after a fairy liquid wash! I do it about once a month

@DorisDays I would try ACV before you buy more expensive products. You might like it and then you won’t need to bother with them.

Think I will @AhoyDelBoy Smile

Soap spirit from the chemist. Gets rid of all hair spray residue.

I hope you have good results @DorisDays I used to have to wash my hair every second day or more but now it’s more like once every week to week and a half 🙌🏻

This stuff is fabulous - I use it weekly and it gets rid of everything gently.
There are 3 steps but I just buy the first one and use my normal products after. It doesn't foam.

The hairdresser I used to go to (£££s) told me to use fairy liquid once a month but to ensure I had a good treatment mask to use after it.

I used to use Neutrogena but switched to the Tresemme build-up remover / clarifying shampoo, because it's massively cheaper and every bit as effective.
