SUNGLASSES : Designer or cheapo ones?

Every summmer the same dilemma....

I don't see the point in spending over £150 n a pair of sunglasses when I ame either going to lose them or break them...

I don't seem to be able to have the same pair for two seasons in a row...

What about you?

depends on lifestyle.
in 1995 i bought some expensive ones. they lasted me till 1999 when i lost them in paris. (stupid pushchair tipped over. they fell out, didnt see them to put back in, went back five minutes later, they'd been nicked by then. gggrrreee.)
i buy cheap ones and they last about three days. so no w i just dont wear them at all. i have a hat, with an eye shade thing, dont know what that stickky outy bit is called. works well.

ime, cheap ones usually look cheap. stylewise better not to wear than to wear tacky ones. but thats me

aRFG! So sunny now in Dulwich and no suitable sunglasses to wear! argghghg!

Do you buy sunglasses for babies? I saw a few kiddies in the park yesterday... surely they don;t need them?

Cheap because the kids inevitably get hold of them and a 2 year old is never appreciative of what you've paid for something!

I usually just Next or something but there's a free pair in Eve next month so I'm going to see what they are like! Ha ha!

OH just seen WWW message on Eve!

I bought my first pair of Dior glasses from Harvey Nicks in May and I luuuurve them. However, because they were so bloody expensive I have to watch them and protect them - in fact I'm a bit obsessive about them!!! I think you can tell the difference but maybe I'm trying to justify the hideous amount of money I paid for them.

I always get designer because they are definitely made better. Also the lens can be warped on cheap ones.

Always designer glasses - I can't see through cheapos properly. They always go cloudy in the bright sun and it's like looking through a dusty window.
If you spend money on a pair of glasses you will make more effort to look after them. I used to be disastrous with my cheapies (in my dim and distant youth) but look after my good ones far better. I have had my Calvin Klein 'Avengers' forever and they're still great.

I just been to TKmax, bought two pairs: POLICE and RipCurl. would love to have found another pair of Ted Bakers!

Ripcurl were in the sale at £14.99 and the POLICE ones were £25. so not bad for I still consider cheapies.

oh, and btw, TKMax seem to have a sale on at the mo, so even more reason to get down there! LOL
