Hello everyone- what are teenage boys wearing now? I need to buy whole new wardrobe for ds - who has absolutely zero interest in fashion - and don't want to buy stuff that'll embarrass him but where do I shop for him?
TIA

Zara and H&M are good. Next for basics.

YolandiFuckinVisser · 01/10/2018 19:56

My DS wear tracky bottoms (black, slim fit) or skinny black jeans. T shirts, plain or with a picture he likes but always in dark colours, zip up hoodies (black, red, grey or khaki). Trainers (puma or nike). He's 17

DS1 is 15 and now shops in H&M, Mango and sometimes Zara in the Men's section.
He is a small/ medium for tops and a 31 for trousers.
His style is quite neutral. Chino trousers in several colours blue/beige/kaki and plain t-shirtswith no fantasy/writng. On top of that he will have zipped hoodies and some surf shop hoodies
He likes lacoste leather shoes or trainers.

JD Sports
North Face if you’re rich
Vans

Not sure whether it's 'cool' but my DS's favourite during his teens was always https://www.routeone.co.uk/

Ds was 16 in April and has just started caring about what he wears for 6th form.

He now has

Jeans from Primark in green, black and blue.
An array of hoodies from New Look.
Some jumpers with collars and some he wears with T-shirt’s underneath.
Long sleeved tops from Primark.
Vans from Office.
Converse
A thick denim jacket which is fur lined.

He’s looking good. 🙂🙂🙂

whattheactualfuckery · 01/10/2018 21:32

Everything my boys wear is from JD Sports

MrsEricBana · 01/10/2018 21:32

H&M 100% best at this age imo and won't break the bank v some of the others.

Notsoaccidentproneanymore · 01/10/2018 21:40

Ds2 is 16. He always wears plain T-shirt’s, skinny jeans and trainers. He’s a size small, 29 waist, regular length. I bought him some jeans from Uniqlo in the sale which he likes. His T-shirt’s normally come from Burton’s, Next or Primark. He likes hoodies. His favorite’s from Gap (Outlet)

Most of his friends dress very similar.

Gottensomedraws · 01/10/2018 22:27

DS is H&M in high street and ASOS online here. Maybe some Next t - shirts occasionally.

myron · 02/10/2018 11:17

Have started to stalk the sales at Animal, Superdry, VANS & all the outdoor clothing stores. Otherwise H&M.

whataboutbob · 02/10/2018 16:46

I got a good pair of jeans and some T shirts at Uniqlo for DS15 last spring. He was very happy with the items.

H&M
Topman

TSSDNCOP · 02/10/2018 20:15

Animal, Vans, Superdry, Gap, Next and Uniqlo.

QueenofLouisiana · 02/10/2018 20:37

H&M for jeans or shorts, Primark for shirts, Superdry/ Scott and Lyle/ Hollister/ Jack Wills t-shirts (or Primark for round the house or plain back/ white).
Hoodies- as tshirts, or linked to sports. Coat- Superdry

My DS (bit older than yours nearly 19 ) likes H&M

Got him some really lovely soft TShirts and some jeans which actually fit him (he's a 26" waist and a 32" leg ). Usually I buy him Tesco jeans but they've had nothing instore and of course now they're not online .

I always have to buy him a 28" waist because that's the smallest so of course he does the teenage boy baggy arsed jeans look ( sigh)

Got him a Genuine Fake North Face jacket in Turkey
Jackets from Costco (no branding but weatherproof with zipped pockets)

Hoodies and sweatshirts from Primark

Nike trainers.
( I went into Sports Direct and asked the salesman "What are 18yo men wearing, I have no clue"
He pointed at his shoes and said "Well I'm 18, I wear Nikes" so DS was "Yeah that'll do me"

TKMaxx do branded underwear but I gave up trying to find ones that were the right size and not garish , so went to H&M.

I do ask him what his mates wear , he just shrugs.
Whereas my DD will tell me exactly what her mates are buying and what she thinks I should buy her ( usually labels )

sadnessin · 02/10/2018 21:24

Topman has been a godsend for my DS14. They do a XXS which fits the little shrimp perfectly

jupiterdawn · 06/10/2018 14:07

Thanks everyone- all these ideas were great. We bought some great tshirts and hoodies from H&M plus some bottoms from Next and now off to source more hoodies and trainers from the list above. Thanks so much :)
