Spend most of the day in swimwear but need to cover up for wandering around the campsite. Was thinking kaftan/tunic but really haven't a clue. What does everyone do? (Last year i wore my towel as a sarong - clueless )

I wear a kaftan over my cossie and flip flops.

newgirl · 14/06/2007 16:20

cotton a line skirt from fat face or similar and t shirt

i dont get sarongs etc - fat thighs still show up!!

nogoes · 14/06/2007 16:23

A nice kafta, or sarong, either will be good. Last year when we were in Italy everyone else just wandered around in their bikinis even to the shops and restaurants but I personally like to cover up.

Thank you for replying surfermum

So - long/short sleeve, chiffon or something sturdier, plain or print, covers bottom or longer...so much choice. Kaftan or should it be more of a smock affair this year?

Where are the style ladies when you need them?

I meant kaftan (obviously)

Blandmum · 14/06/2007 16:24

ChippyMinton · 14/06/2007 16:25

I've got a chiffony kaftan from Primark.

I would just stick some boardies on but I have huge norks that just don't get held up enough in a tankini and I feel self conscious about wandering around without a top on.

I've done the towel thing too though, just wrapped it round me when I've got out of the pool and walked back to the caravan.

Whatever goes best with your crocs, naturally.

I'd get a chiffony robe type thing which ties.

ChippyMinton · 14/06/2007 20:13

crocs? CROCS? Do I have crocs?!!!

Hmm, will go browsing tomorrow.
