God knows what I ate yesterday that has had this effect but I am so full of wind that I look about 6 months pregnant!

What the hell can I do to help it go down by tomorrow apart from the obvious?

Lots of water, exercise, no carbs, spanx.

Go and buy some prunes in juice and eat them slowly!

nononsene · 28/09/2018 16:00

Don’t think I’m desperate enough to eat prunes!!

What kind of exercise would you recommend?

Anything that gets you moving vigorously. Running helps me, or HIIT training.

Brisk walk to the supermarket, but peppermint tea, brisk walk home, drink peppermint tea, Google yoga for trapped wind, do yoga poses, fast like a trooper.

Peppermint tea- I have ibd and it helps with bloating. Rennie deflatine - it will make you fart for England though.

If it’s any consolation OP I too have to attend a wedding tomorrow and having given birth 3 weeks ago my stomach looks like a deflated balloon. Everything looks awful. So I feel your pain!! Blush

Get some windeze! Should really help.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 28/09/2018 16:58

Peppermint tea and fart yoga. Lie on the floor and tuck your knees to your chest. Hold, then release. Farts will come. I have Crohn's- trust me.

nononsene · 28/09/2018 21:25

Thanks everyone I have peppermint tea now and about to attempt some yoga.

Agree with exercise, if it's not gone down overnight, try going for a run first thing.
