Has anybody used Boden’s 365 day no quibble returns?

I bought these jeans (Trafalgar straight leg) in April, and yesterday they ripped along the inseam when I was putting them on. All I was doing was pulling them up! I have them in 2 other colours, and have had no problems with them.

Yes, I have, they absolutely stand by it, no issues at all. After three months, I think it’s account credit you get, but if yours was faulty, you might get cash, I guess.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 28/09/2018 08:07

Yes, with a woollen dress for Christmas. I wore it once, on Christmas Day and then handwashed it as per instructions. The hem started unravelling. I wasn't going to send it back then thought, feck it, it wasn't cheap.

I got an email back asking loads of extra questions about how often I'd worn it and how I'd washed it. They eventually gave me a credit, but it wasn't for the full amount.

They're not daft.

CherryPavlova · 28/09/2018 08:08

Yes but usually we’ll before 365 days. Sometimes dress material is a little brighter than expected.

carbuckety · 28/09/2018 13:28

Yes. I would phone them and ask what you need to do. I've always found their customer service people really good.

snowgal · 28/09/2018 13:48

Absolutely, I complained about a pair of jeans which ripped on the back panel (it was about 4 months after purchase and they'd been worn 1-12 times). They sent me a free post sticker and refunded without a quibble. Can never fault Boden's customer service!

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/09/2018 14:23

Yep, about 10 days before the time limit. No quibble and I had account credit before it had been sent back.

RyanStartedTheFire · 28/09/2018 14:29

Yes when pockets came unravelled on a dress for DD. No questions asked replacement and let us keep the damaged one.

ilovecherries · 28/09/2018 14:48

I think Boden CS and refund policy is amazing. There is a lot they don’t get right (fun prints anyone), but I’ve found their CS impeccable. Other online retailers could learn a thing or two from them.

carbuckety · 28/09/2018 14:52

fluffycloud I really love that they do this. I had a pair of boots that came with a broken zip, called them and the replacement arrived next day and I was told no need to hurry to send faulty ones back.

batshittery · 28/09/2018 19:54

Yes, as previously stated - their customer service is first class.

thefirstmrsdewinter · 28/09/2018 20:43

Years ago I returned a black dress to the London shop two weeks after buying it. It came out of the first wash with filmy white marks all over it (as though the sizing or some other fabric finish hadn't washed out properly). The manager there was very very arsey - argumentative, told me to go home and handwash it, insisted on store credit only - so I emailed cs to complain. I believe it was resolved in the end but it was such a pain in the arse and it made me feel I'd been had by their 'no quibble' claim.

This was about 7 years ago so maybe things have changed.

RaggieDolls · 29/09/2018 09:07

Twice. Once on a dress for DD where the colour faded after a few months. Once on a top for me that developed a hole after a few months.

No problem either time. I am sure they can see I buy lots from them etc.

maerd · 29/09/2018 09:14

I wasn’t actually aware of this policy, but I did contact them once about a men’s jumper that got a hole in it after about 8 months (but explained DH had worn it just a handful of times and I think I’d only washed it twice) and they were great. They no longer sold the jumper, so they said I could either send it back and get a refund or they would send a smaller amount of money to pay for a repair if we’d rather keep it. I chose the second option and I think they also sent us a store voucher as apology too.

MarthasGinYard · 29/09/2018 09:17

Yes some boots that split after 3 months

They refunded over phone straight away

I asked if they wanted photos?

Answer no

Send them bk?

Answer was more like 'yes you can do' but they clearly weren't bothered Shock so I didn't Blush

Fantastic

Yes, I've returned a ballet back top I bought almost a year ago. I'd never worn it and the reason why is because it didn't sit right on the shoulders. So I returned it and got account credit which I've just spent on a leopard print sweatshirt. Brilliant customer service!

drspouse · 29/09/2018 12:07

Yes, I bought something in a Sept offer for a Christmas present and sent them back in Jan, they were fine even with no receipt (obviously I had the order online).

BikeRunSki · 01/10/2018 12:51

Absolutely cracking service from Boden.
I rang them on Saturday afternoon.
They offered me a replacement or refund, as the jeans were still in stock.
I chose the replacement. They arrived this morning, with a return label for the ripped ones.
Couldn’t fault them at all.

I'd forgotten about that 365 day return policy; I bought a dress from them in the summer that I've not worn yet and am not totally sure about now, so I might have a go. Thanks for this thread!

QueenoftheNights · 01/10/2018 22:28

Yes. Returned some items I'd never worn and got a refund after about 9 months.

herecomesthsun · 02/10/2018 07:08

A stud came off my husband's fave shirt, he had worn it loads and I didn't know how to repair it. I called them, they sent me another to my amazement. Great service!
