Tell me what you think about Uniqlo velvet leggings please

I've just ordered these

On the plus side, they're warm and stretchy and comfy.

But I'm worried velvet leggings are inherently really frumpy and a bad idea.

Has anyone else got them? Should I stick to jeans? Please help me avoid middle aged frumpiness!

Hmmm. I think it might depend on the colour. Not sure inherently frumpy but I can imagine they might be okay in black/navy. I don't think they work in the colour the model is wearing.

Thanks. I've ordered the black. I actually quite like the colour the model is wearing but I imagine they're pretty hard to wear IRL (if you're not a model!).

I have a pair in navy and don't think they're frumpy in the least! Bootcut style maybe.

I have a pair in black from last year and they're lovely. Like velvet skinnies. And very flattering.

Although I'm not sure how the heat tech thing is supposed to work. I was hoping it would be like wearing an electric blanket ha ha.

Thanks for the encouraging replies. What do you wear yours with? Do you just wear them like jeans (with a jumper/boots in the winter)? I'm hoping for an electric blanket effect too Grin

Pretty much like jeans with boots although I'm more of a tunic kind of girl.

MinesaPinot · 26/09/2018 13:20

I like them, and I might get a pair in black. I'd wear them with a tunic/long shirt/comfy jumper and boots or sparkly flats if wearing them in the evening.
