What to wear on size 8 feet with skinny jeans?

I have no problem in the summer with fit flops or sandals but what to wear in the winter?

Going on long haul flight soon and want to be comfy with Uniqlo trouser jeggings but not sure what to wear on my big feet. Must be comfy as I have a problem with the joint of my big toe which can be painful but dont think it is a bunion.

Any trainers that dont make feet look huge/clumpy and not sure how to wear ankle boots either - help!

I have wide, size 8s and I find Blowfish boots both flattering and comfy. Ankle boots are best I think.

I wear ankle boots/biker boots. DD who also has big feet wears Ugg style boots with her skinny jeans/leggings.

I do have some Ugg type boots and that is the comfort I am looking for but feel they are a bit old and scruffy now for long haul travel .

So, Ugg boots comfort but a bit classier, not a lot to ask lol?

What about brown boots, can I wear them with black jeans, I do have a ruched brown pair that are fairly comfy?

Long haul travel, at least in economy, tends to be really casual. Slouch boots would be perfect. To be honest I tend to take a pair of washable slippers when it's overnight as I'll do anything to feel that little bit comfier on the often very cramped plane. I normally then change into proper footwear before landing. Just make sure it's nothing too tight as it's important to have good circulation.

UGG do boots that are not 'ugg' boots

Maybe a pair of Blundstones. That's my plan for my long-haul December trip.

itbemay · 24/09/2018 17:06

@HappySpade blundstones! That takes me back, best boots ever, I remember getting a pair when I was around 17, wished I'd kept them now.... I'm 43 Smile

I wear Blundstone boots with skinny jeans for everything. I am a size 8. They are brilliant for travelling because they just pull on or off, no faffing if you have to take them off. I am a size 8 in Clark’s, and pretty wide. I wear a size 7.5 in Blundstone. The half means wide fit, ie 7 and 7.5 are the same length, but 7.5 is wider.

I have been wearing Blundstones for 20 years. I’ve had 3 or 4 pairs in that time.

Thanks, will look into all these suggestions

I'd consider loafers instead then you can easily slip them on and off which is quite handy on the journey. Something classic...

Marmelised · 25/09/2018 20:37

SIze nine and second the loafer suggestion. Im wearing mine a lot this autumn.

I tend to wear ballet type pumps. I have size 8 feet, too, and I feel very self conscious in anything bulkier than loafers. Trainers, boots etc just make my feet look huge and out of proportion.
