What shoes with slim leg jeans in winter?

Just that really! I wear a mix of skinny and slim leg jeans, pretty much daily. My skinnys are fine, I have brown and black boots that look great and I’m happy with. But the slim leg ones are too bulky to go inside boots so I need shoe options.

If it’s dry I’ve been wearing canvas trainers, think Rocket Dog, Converse etc. But with wet weather all over the place now I need some ideas for wet days walking to school. I don’t really like brogues and would need to wear socks with them that aren’t too visible. I’ve looked in the shops near home (next, Clark’s, sole trader, not many I know) with no inspiration at all. In a few weeks I will be able to visit a bigger city and would love some ideas for places to look, or online options. I’m size 6 and standard width feet, no issues with getting things to fit usually.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to know them! My style generally is jeans and tops from joules, Boden, Next etc and usually running around after the kids, so flat shoes are a must.

Thank you so much!

Geox trainers. So many to choose from. Stan Smiths or Nike in leather will keep rain out.

Loafers?

Ankle boots, slim leg hems turned up to the top of boot.

Same as chango! I like that look.

Agree just turn them up to the top of the boot.

Dr Martens boots with slim leg rolled up to top of boot.

Thanks for the ideas. I also like the rolled up jeans above boots look, but on me it makes me look even shorter and stumpier than I already am. I do like the look of some of those geox options though, off to investigate more. Any other ideas or suggestions welcome!
