Mid European city.
I'm 5'3, size 6, dark hair.
Please help, vipers!

Ordinary smart casual. Understated rather than Christmas tree.
Linen or good cotton trousers and smart white shirt, brogues, nice stud earrings. I wouldn’t worry too much though as people will wear a whole range - even smart jeans, Chelsea boots and a roll neck. An LBD and pearls if it’s with a group.

Definitely not excessive jewellery, false eyelashes, shorts, clinging vest top, or stilettos or ‘mutton’ outfits- although I’m probably not allowed to say mutton.....

Smart and comfortable, and if there's a little give around the waistline, you may be quite full afterwards and it extends the enjoyment.

I wore a Gerard Darel knee length dress with some boots for a 3 Michelin place in Paris. Felt very comfortable and there was a huge range of casual to smart. As long as you're comfy. Enjoy!

If it was me? Black slim leg trousers, whistles or cos blouse, understated block-heel sandals or point toe pumps in tan or nude. Fuschia lips. Statement earrings. Depends where in europe and what sort of restaurant though, some are more casual than others.

Thanks, fab suggestions. Knew it would be more understated which is a relief as is more my style, like the cigarette pants idea. Off to look online!
