Absolutely Laurie, this shape skirt is one of the best shapes to dress a plus size body imho. If you are going for a stretch pencil skirt you may find one that is lined would look and fit better or wearing a slip underneath to stop it from riding up on your thighs.

What occasion is the skirt for? Workwear would be very different from everyday wear. What fabric, colour, length are you looking for?

this one by La Redoute is 97% cotton

I think it depends on where you carry your weight. I'm short and fat and pear-shaped, and I wouldn't wear a pencil skirt because they make me look like I'm about 90% arse. But if you're more hourglassy I think it would look nice. You probably want a tailored one and not a stretchy one, as those tend to cling and emphasise any lumpy bits in the wrong way!

I agree, it depends a bit on where your weight is, but a pencil skirt or tube skirt can be really flattering on short curvy types. I had a double layer tube skirt from whistles which was the most flattering thing I owned until it died a year ago. Ruching also can work wonders as long as it's good quality jersey.

Bloody hell, that skirt is exactly the kind of thing I was wondering about Occams Shock

I pretty much only wear navy, it’s for work. And I’m an hourglass 44 (well a 34J)/29/42 - so would wear a 16 or possibly an 18.

What I can’t have is it riding up. I’ve had issues with skirts before - I wear my handbag on my shoulder and it seems to hitch my skirt up on my left hand side when I’m walking (must be because I’m short)

I can’t tuck shirts in because of enormous norkage so I think my only option is a close fitting scoop top with it.

Can they? Yes. Should they? No. No one should. Everything bodycon like should be burned.

Why racecardriver? How ridiculous.
