Who wants to talk to me about Collagen - Is this a fad I need to get on board with?

So I'm contemplating buying some Collagen supplements and wondered if this is just the latest money wasting fad or if it's a great investment in my skin?

I'm late 30's and VERY suseptable to marketing so don't want to go wasting my money.....I brought 100 potions from The Ordinary last year and that seems to have been a giant waste of time and money.

Anyone using any collagen products? Any recommendations - or shall I just save my money?

I’ve been taking it for about 6 months and I think my skin looks firmer but it could just be that I am deluded. I don’t buy anything fancy, just these from Amazon.

I only take one a day as I also take a Biotin supplement so they aren’t expensive.

I also use external retinol, use SPF 50 etc so it could be the overall mixed care or as I said above I might just be deluded and I don’t look any different at all.

Once you ingest protein (collagen is protein) your body breaks it down into single amino acids. If it needs to repair a bit of muscle or grow new nail cells you have absolutely no control over it.

If you ate unprocessed sources of protein like nuts, oily fish you'd be doing the body a favour as they also have vitamins and minerals.
