Raincoat for 20 year old dd

I know she’s an adult but bear with me!
My DD is in second year in university. She has to walk approximately 30 minutes to lectures each way every day. We’re heading into winter and it rains A LOT where she is. She refuses to spend money on a raincoat that’s not cool and I think she needs a good coat. Help me find a good, not too expensive coat for a petite, size 8 fashion conscious wet 20 year old 😃

I have suggested the “get a bus” option but she would still have a five minute walk to the bus stop and each end of the journey and to be fair, hates hanging around waiting for the bus and as she sees it, wasting her money, when she’s quite happy to walk. In case anyone thinks she’s being pathetic, she’s not making a fuss at all. I’d just much prefer her to have a decent raincoat and I’m sure, if I can find a nice one, she’ll get loads of wear out of it

I’d definitely recommend Uniqlo if she sees anything she’d like there.

And it’s worth posting on this thread because you might just win a voucher with which to buy a coat. (Not perfect coats for a trendy 20 year old but you can’t argue with free)

Try The north face you could get a simple black rain jacket like the Quest jacket

Or a longer length version like the hikestellar parka shell jacket

Or a longer length parka that's padded, warm and waterproof ( but a lot more expensive )
