I thought it might be good to share favourite cheap beauty tips. Here are mine:

Sudocrem for spots
Witch hazel for red/sore skin
A hot flannel for exfoliating
Anne French for grimy necks (I am always amazed!)
Aldi day cream

Any more? I've hear Nivea is good is not sure which variety to buy?

Try Perfume Parlour for excellent perfume dupes.

Pink by Next is a very good dupe for Romance by Ralph Lauren.

Collection concealer (it's about £2.99). I have used all the high end concealers but none are as good as this.

I really like Superdrug naturally radiant foaming cleanser. I've tried alot of top expensive brands and this is by far my fave

MessyBun247 · 18/09/2018 07:37

@penelopeshitstop Where do you buy the concealer?

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 18/09/2018 08:22

They sell Collection in Wilko, Superdrug and some Boots. I agree about the concealer, it's just as good as YSL, but doesn't smell like a dirty dishcloth after a week like the YSL does.

Nivea Soft is the dog's. Took a small pot to Mallorca on a recent short break and used it all over - face, hands, body. No reaction at all. Brilliant stuff. DH used it as well after shaving and was also impressed.

Solait and Soltan sun products, instead of Nivea/Ambre Solaire/Piz Buin

YY to hot flannels for cleansing/exfoliating. I buy packs from Primark or Ikea and use them with Clinique cleansing balm (there are some things that I will not give up....!)

Soap in the shower. Lasts way longer than gel, so you get to buy nice soap. I love proper french stuff.

Waitrose plebs range foam bath is great and under £2 for a huge bottle.

Wilko own brand (essence) clear HD pressed powder and their gel eyeliners. Both excellent.

The ordinary range is great. I have had a few items and in particular notice the difference with their moisturiser and azelaic acid.

Baby shampoo: clarifies hair and good for washing make up brushes.

Rimmel nail varnishes are excellent and cheap.

Nivea in the blue pot. Have a mini one in my bag. Even works as emergency lip balm.

Anne French for grimy necks (I am always amazed!)

Absolutely! one of my go to's since I was a teen (a number of years ago.

Do they still make TCP? I haven't seen it around but I used to use it for spots, bites etc.

The Superdrug own-brand range in the green packaging is great. Have used the night oil, hot cloth cleanser, skin brightener (dupe for Clarins beauty flash balm) and a glycolic night treatment. Currently BOGOF.
