285 quid for a pair of mules [hmmm]

bosscat · 08/06/2007 19:31

shoes very lovely but don't let him start choosing your clothes, my Uncle does this for my Aunt and its just .... wrong.

dh once bought me a mulberry bag out of the blue which I thought was a bit fab considering he has absolutely no taste whatsover

HenriettaHippo · 08/06/2007 19:32

they are BEAUTIFUL.

BishyBarneyBee · 08/06/2007 19:33

PPH - am picturing your DH a bit like that bloke off how to look good naked.

Otherwise cannot understand how he has such good taste.

motherinferior · 08/06/2007 19:35

DP's one criterion in an article of Ladies' Clothing is 'does it reveal her norks'.

Not useful, with shoes.

brimfull · 08/06/2007 19:35

bloody hell
dh would never go in ladeeez shopee,he'd just bung me the cash so unromantic -you are a lucky girl

PrincessPeaNips · 08/06/2007 19:38

he is famously badly dressed always, in bizarre combinations of his (dead) father's clothes and tour tshirts from the 1970s

but he seems to be able to do shoes for me

OP posts:
InternationalMouseOfMystery · 08/06/2007 19:38

beware

there are many posters active tonight whose knickers may well be tightly twisted at the thought of spending lots of money on shoes

ps
pps although they would look kind of ridiculous on me right now - kind of like two golden thimbles squeezed onto a hippo's toenails

Darciesmum · 08/06/2007 19:39

PPN you are so lucky, my DP wouldn't know a Jimmy Choo shoe if it hit him in the face lol!

InternationalMouseOfMystery · 08/06/2007 19:40

dh not willing to take punts on such things after i [deep, deep shame] returned pearls he bought me

well, i just wouldn't have worn them. i may live in home counties, but am only 36 and have no horses

Surfermum · 08/06/2007 19:40

My dh has just come home with a doner kebab for me.

Chelseamum · 08/06/2007 19:41

Some men have an extremely good flair for wardrobe pressies... mine is good with clothes.... crapity crap with shoes!

InternationalMouseOfMystery · 08/06/2007 19:41

lol surfermum

PrincessPeaNips · 08/06/2007 19:42

funny, I'd have thought an international mouse of mystery would be safe in a casino

but you have just lost your wager. no pearls.

(lots of diamonds, but no pearls!)

OP posts:
Surfermum · 08/06/2007 19:43

He's spoiling me tonight. I've got chips too.

PrincessPeaNips · 08/06/2007 19:43

(oh and I'm afraid I am completely unconcerned about the twistedness of knickers. like whoever just said "£280 on MULES?" like if they had a toe and a back to the heel it would make a difference to the ludicrous price)

OP posts:
Idreamofdaleks · 08/06/2007 19:43

wonder what he has been up to

PrincessPeaNips · 08/06/2007 19:43

God my dp knows jimmy choos but would never actually buy me them unless they came with a free drum!

InternationalMouseOfMystery · 08/06/2007 19:44

dang it

am happy with dh's alterntive approach - gives me cash and instructs me to buy things

finally got around to buying new handbag yday after birthday (ahem) moola (far to cokney for you pph) back in january

PrincessPeaNips · 08/06/2007 19:44

probably rogering his business partner senseless in a hotel in bayswater

(his business partner is male btw)

OP posts:
PrincessPeaNips · 08/06/2007 19:46

musing over the free drum comment.......

nope noddy, you've got me there!

It is no fun if you are just given cash!
BTW I didn't get anything for my bday apart from the promise of some guineafowl that haven't materialised yet and would probably be eaten by the dogs if they ever did...

OP posts:
Idreamofdaleks · 08/06/2007 19:46

or possibly owner of shoe shop

noddyholder · 08/06/2007 19:47

Oh its just me pph dp considers everything expensive and a waste of money unless it is related to the love of his life Drums!

sar123 · 08/06/2007 19:47
