My question should also be WHEN would I wear them. I can’t see myself doing the school run in them exactly, or going blackberrying.

I would wear them with black tights and a plain dress, or with skinny jeans.

If I had the legs for it, which I don't, I'd wear them with opaque back tights and a short silver grey, plum or black velvet mini skirt, plain black top and cropped denim or biker jacket.

I might just go and try them on. Just a little try...

When? Any time day or night when you are going out and having fun. Not school run or serious work meeting but any other time.

One of my friends wears their shoes, they look bonkers but really suit her. She tends to wear crazy shoes and coats, totally clash but plain clothes, she has shirt bright red hair but looks amazing! I’d wear those with skirts.

My friend wears them to serious work meetings, she is an business account generater and represents large well known companies, I think they are her calling card and make her stand out.

Irregular choice are a bit like Joe Brown to me. Every now and then something gorgeous arrives (I own the IC green diamante frog heels) but most of the time it's all a bit jumble sale-y/hot -mess- glue gun insanity.

The dispensing optician I go to wears normal work suits and blouses and a pair of shoes by this brand (though I’m not sure even she would be brave enough to wear that particular style!).

For clarity I mean these frog shoes not the bloody Kermit the frog flats they did!!

I love them too - and really like the black opaques and plum miniskirt idea.

I already have a plum skirt so maybe I need the shoes too (I already have lots of only a few pairs of IC shoes)

Talith I love those! I’m going to an evening do shortly in a dress that is exactly that colour, and no shoes to go with it - they would be perfect. I’m going to look on eBay. Are they actually called ‘frog shoes’?

I can't think where you could possibly wear them to but if you love them and can afford them, get them. Life is too short to deny yourself the simple pleasures.

I knew it would be irregular choice! Absolutely love them, and the plum velvet skirt idea. As an over 60, I'd wear them with similar midis. And a red hat which doesn't go, etc....
