you can enter your height, weight, body measurements etc and they will 'advise' you on what clothes to go for? I am deciding to be brave and venture out of my endless supplies of trousers and try a dress for a wedding this summer in France and really need some advice. However feel abit intimidated in the shops so wondered if this sort of website existed? Thankyou.

Ok you asked for it!! Age 41, height 5.2 weight 10st., I would say hour glass shape as size 14 top (36 d) and 12 > 14 bottom (varies so much shop to shop). I wear high heels everyday for work, and wedges with my jeans, flippys with shorts etc.. Its just knowing what sort of skirt/dress shape to go for and if skirt what sort of top? do not want to end up looking like a weeble (wobbles but it won't fall down.....) see, showing my age!

is there a waist in between the halves of the hourglass or are you in need of waist-creation?

Had my bra size fitted a few weeks ago at a good shop so yes think its ok and boobs are now facing forwards rather than downwards!! and yes a bit of a waist there but lumpy bits below the bra IFSWIM

Also how posh is the wedding, and what sort of budget do you have?

The wedding is Poitier in France, usual french wedding I believe (town hall, then church) reception etc is in a chateux where we are staying for 3 days. I think generally no hats - budget fairly relaxed but within reason and needs to be something I can wear again.

Hmm - if you buy some good underwear (strapless bra and maybe control pants things), how about this ? Skims over the bits in the middle nicely. However, quite dressy, so not sure if it meets your criterion of 'wear again'. They have quite a lot of dresses in this style , which might work well - wide straps, so you can wear a bra underneath, again skims the middle bits. ALso in plain colours Fuchsia , green (yum), or red ? (oh, and black , but probably not for a summer wedding?)

I like this too. Ruching detail can be v flattering. This is pretty as well .

Ah - yes probably, though it's difficult to know if the lilac thing will work unless you can see them both in rl. Something a bit more purpley might work better.

I love the look of shift dresses, but you're right, no good with big norks.

I think the fact that it's cotton might make it less dressy than you might ideally want. But it's a lovely colour, and I think would go better with the lilac than the blue would (though you might get away with the blue too). I think I'd say metallic shoes - you could go for gold or silver with purple, I think, depending on what sort of jewellery you wear most?

Hmm I do have some lovely gold sandals that I actually wore for my wedding, so would like to give them another outing! Iknow a mate has a nice gold bag so that would be that sorted. I'll try it on, I think, anbd let you know. Thank you!

Wow guys thankyou! sorry PC but up the blink for a few days. J I luuurrrve that spotty one from Monsoon but only available in size 22 so need to scour the shops. I like the wrap round brown one as well - was worried the overalls shapes would not suit my hips but I am encouraged to get of my arse and go and try some on.
