If you're over 40 with combination skin what foundation do you like?

Been wearing a tinted BB cream over the summer, but now autumn is approaching i feel like I need something with a bit more coverage. Not sure what to go for and always feel the pressure to buy when visiting different beauty counters. My nose tends to shine after a few hours.

I don’t wear too much makeup as it seems to slide off in the summer and I have an oily t zone. However , Boots have launched a new No.7 product called Match Made Custom Blend. You mix 1to 3 drops (of your colour match) with your moisturiser or primer - depending how much coverage you want. I mix it with La Roche Posay anti brilliance / anti shine 30 spf face cream and voila!!! I look almost human without the hollow eyed vampire look that I usually sport. I really do recommend both products as it combats the oily bits, protects you from the UV’s AND gives you as much coverage as you want . A done deal I say!

I like L'Oréal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation, Bare Minerals Original and Missha Perfect cover

My friend who's 50 and gets oily swears by Benefit the big easy which is a BBQ cream but more like a foundation, this friend got oily with Estée Lauder double wear (compact) so it's good stuff!

Mineral foundation: bare minerals or the la roche posay toleriane powder. Fantastic stuff and take seconds to apply. Last all day too.

I've got combination skin. There's a really good Revlon one specifically designed for different skin types. Think it's colourstay it's called.

I also use Simple oil balancing moisturiser as a primer and that seems to keep the shine at bay. I do have to use powder and like Loreal True Match best.

Is BBQ cream like BBQ sauce? For a bronzed look Grin

fredabear · 11/09/2018 19:04

I use Bobbi Brown skin weightless compact, good matte but natural looking coverage

Ysl all hours liquid foundation....I don't use powder to set . Although the foundation is meant to be matte on my combination skin it looks demi matte.

🤣BBQ cream, I'm such an ass sometimes!

MakeItStopNeville · 12/09/2018 04:03

I finally found my perfect one(s)! I use Lorac Light Source 3in1 at the same time as Christian Dior’s Airflash and then use a Dior blending brush to blend them together. Top with Mac Skinfinish and Bobbi Brown bronzer.

I fully accept make up artists are face palming at my post but it honestly works on my skin!
