Help - I need to show the French some understated Brit chic at a wedding, but I can't find anything I like

Bearing in mind that the French don't do hats, and I don't want to look like I've tried too hard.

It's SIL's wedding, I'll be the only Brit, and I was going to wear a black & white Hobbs frock that I bought for another wedding a couple of years ago (different people), but it's straining over my temporarily fulsome bosom (bfing) so I need something new but that I can wear again. Skirt and top maybe?

I'm pale-skinned, fair to mousey, size 8, not much of a waist, 5'6". Don't want strapless or shiny or loud print. I like linen. Quite like black and white, I think.

Anyone?

back to Hobbs with you

or Phase Eight

'understated Brit chic'. Those three words don't belong in the same sentence together .

Buy something when you get there.

Great Plains have some nice linen stuff atm, very nicely cut trewsers

If you're 5'6'' and a size 8 you cna wear anything, anyway

MrsB - yes I like Hobbs and Phase Eight, but neither deliver abroad (forgot that bit, must deliver to France)

Cos I'm there already, expat, I live here, but I haven't seen anything I both like and can afford in the shops. Plus I like wearing things from the UK that no one else will have seen before.

Great Plains - good idea FK, like them. Will look.
