Hi, advice needed please. Is this skirt suitable for a wedding or have potential to be suitable? I was thinking a sequin top ... I’m awful at this type of thing and don’t get out often especially weddings!!
Or could anyone suggest a skirt? I’m nearly 30 and a size 16 with massive chubby hips and stomach Blush any help appreciated thanks!

Personally I wouldn't. Looking at the fabric is seems quite soft so you would need to be carefully about the way it falls. Also a pattern and a shinny too seems a bit much for a wedding.

I would go for a plainer (or bigger) print in a heavier fabric with more structure. Maybe something with netting underneath? Are you looking to accentuate your waist?

I think it depends on how formal the wedding is going to be. I'm not a fan of buying things for occasions that are so removed from your everyday life they cant be worn again.

I think the skirt could work with a nice long sleeve wrap top, a big jewelled necklace and some boots that finish under the hemlline of the skirt - maybe highheeled suede type in a light teal or something that tones with the skirt if you can find some cheaply enough.

If you need a jacket a soft fluffy mohair cardigan or a light coloured blazer might work. Then you can wear all those things again with other stuff. If you add a weddingy hairdo and glam lipstick you will look lovely I am sure! 😁
